I love this! Thank you! I saw Wynton when he was first coming up with Art Blakey back in the early 80’s. Incredible! But we all have to go back to Clifford Brown’s “live” performance of Donna Lee in the mid 50’s….
You're welcome! I can't believe it's been 11 years. Ukraine's in a fight for its life now, but here's hoping the days return when we can hear artists like this again. And Clifford Brown - another giant! An embarrassment of riches in American musical genius. What a time to be alive, eh? Thanks for watching.
What the actual fuck are you talking about? Wynton absolutely crushed that solo. The slower notes and odd rhythms is what makes a solo memorable. The reason I can't remember a single lick that the tenor played is he just spewed a bunch of notes together, but I sure as well won't forget when Wynton strung together that nasty triplet run combined with an actual melody that you can hum after the song is over. The only people getting their ass kicked is the poor rhythm section who has maintain that tempo while simultaneously refraining from an orgasm on stage from Wynton's monstrous, soulful playing!
@lildeizel This in no way kicked Wynton's ass...lol I mean I guess if you call completely killing the changes at a burning tempo "getting your ass kicked" then, yes.

+Kangapoo87 GOOD word i do not like scale masturbations of Butman
Great performances all the way around!
@lildeizel - man! Good catch. The camera titles got me all messed up. I'll try to fix it. Anyway, the crowd loved it!
Вы никогда не увидите Морсалиса без галстука-настоящий хранитель джазовых традиций...
Fuck. That's fast.
とても良いビデオです。🙄
@lildeizel Testify. And thanks again for the save.

What is this !?

One thing the drummer is to fucking loud. When you play with guys like Wynton it's more a feel regardless of the tempo. Damn drummer to damn busy.
Disagree! Drummer is playing at a good dynamic level and not too busy
uhh he actually did everything but get his ass kicked.
Where's my box of Jawbreakers?
zwar nicht unbedingt schön , aber recht sportlich
Filthy franks in the way
