[ENGLISH] Captured here are many emergency vehicles responding to a fire drill inside the Thu Thiem Tunnel, which crosses the Saigon River, and leads to Downtown Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city. The fire drill simulated a truck catching on fire inside the tunnel, creating a lot of smoke as well as trapping casualties. The response included the Ho Chi Minh City Fire Departments District 1 and District 2 divisions, as well as a very rarely seen 'two-headed' fire engine, specifically built to fight fires inside tunnels. In addition a remote controlled firefighting robot was deployed for the first time ever during the drill. Ambulances from general hospitals in District 1 and 2 also took part, as well as police officers who blocked regular traffic leading into the tunnel for an hour.

that's a really slow robot, I would have carried it on the back of a flatbed truck or trailer towed by another vehicle to get it to the emergency faster than the crawl that the robot is capable of under its own power

Thank you man! Haha it’s designed specifically for fighting fires inside tunnels, the two cabs are so that it can go both ways inside a tunnel without having to make complicated u-turns.

two-headed emergency vehicles are used for tunnel fire-fighting and rescue operations in various countries.Thus the crews can easily leave the tunnel within the shortest time if necessary, without loosing time by making a u-turn inside a tight tunnel.
Some of them have electric drive, simply because a standard engine might fail in a smoke-filled tunnel. There are several electric drive two-headed Evacuation Trucks used in Europe

It’s a two-headed fire truck made for fighting fires in tunnels! It can be steered in both directions so that it doesn’t have to be turned around.
