Confessions of a theme park worker is one of my fave series(?) on ur channel! Your videos always make my day even just a little better hope u have a magical summer!
I'm convinced that people who make up awful rumors are just jealous of the people who are actually happy and can find joy in things. Just let people live. If it isn't for you, move along. Find something that brings you joy and maybe you'll start to see the world differently. Miserable, sad people.
Yeah. It bugs me too when people say "Disney is just for kids." It's those people that like to suck th joy and fun out of everything. 😞 Like, who hurt these people so badly that they feel the need to ruin everything for everyone??? But I try to ignore those people the best I can. Oh and then there's that rumor that Walt Disney was cryogenically frozen. That one kinda annoys me. When I first heard that rumor I was like, "What in the world???"
Hitler liked Disney's movies - that's probably where the anti-semite thing came from. Im glad you mentioned point 1 - I am a single guy turning 40 in a couple of years, hoping to make a solo Disney trip for that Birthday.
Boo to people who want to Walt Fault (at least unfairly)! As for Utilidors, beyond CMs leaving work I'm pretty sure the main thing going out is trash via AVAC...
I took one of my friends for 1st time to Disneyland and her inner child shown on the attractions. We were in line with our other friend to see Rapunzel and a teenager walk by and ripped us adults for wanting to meet Rapunzel and Flynn. I rolled my eyes and said under my breath, "grow down girly."
My brother-in-law tried telling me Disney was only for kids and I had the same reaction, "I feel bad for you. You have no sense of imagination or magic. I would be miserable if I had to live in a world without that." He doubled down and the conversation went nowhere but I still think I made my point and his defensiveness made me think he secretly agreed with me.
While there are valid complaints about Disney (such as not willing to take risks on new stuff and over reliance on nostalgia to business practices that one would be a fool to assume Disney's competition is innocent of), people who hate on Disney never use these valid complaints. Probably because they are not exciting and won't drive clicks. And thats the thing these things drive clicks online. Also, I think many people find it hard to fathom that someone from Walt's generation didn't have some kind of prejudice. While I'm not sure if Walt was prejudicial, I am positive that he worked to not show any prejudice because it would go against his own family friendly image.

I was working with kids at a camp and heard the whole Walt signature thing from a leader while we were walking with a group of kids. Not to mention my Facebook news feed was full of crap like that. I felt uncomfortable at both those places because I like Disney animation and Disney World.
I will admit that we do Disney all the time simply because we know it and it's easy for us now. We're not against other places, we just know what to expect and how to do Disney. These days I tend to avoid Universal because I didn't enjoy the last few times I went, not because I'm not interested in what they have. Universal frustrates me because in some areas they show they can do theming and immersion at least as well as Disney, but then there are so many places where they just don't put in the effort.
lol, Disneyland is for kids! I'm 36 and there was at least one time I was the youngest in line for Luigi's! I think that comes from Disney marketing hard to people with kids and making it this rite of passage thing they must do. There are many parents where their kids are an accessory to THEIR Disney experience, expecting them to like the same things as them, behave perfect, take the perfect pictures, etc. So its still a thing thats really all about the parents. Disney with just adults is the best, no pressure to do everything or make it perfect.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone calls Silver Dollar City "Steal your dollar City" it really grinds my gears when i find Herschend extremely competitive with it's pricing in the theme park community.
I have heard about the lie about Walt was antisemitic as well So about saying Walt was racist I try to correct them, some listened Others thought they knew better
Those who wanting to find fault at Walt or anyone else need to look at themselves in the mirror It’s just like Jesus said, those without sin may cast the first stone
Here's one that I heard, though it's more about a know-it-all not knowing...um...at all. ME: I saw a documentary on History or Travel, or Discovery, one of those channels, it says at Tower of Terror there's about 2,000 drop sequences in the computer. HER: That show is out of date, just like all the others; I've been on it more than you have because I've been there 33 times, you've only been on it once. I happen to know that there's over 200,000. (For context my original notion of the 2000 drops was an honest mistake. Further research inflates the number to 2000 COMBINATIONS of drops, sounds, and visuals. Actually there are only about a dozen drop sequences.) Has more to do with someone consistently putting down your POV of BTS in favor of theirs without specific citation.
Before the show begins I assume when you say you "just wanna..." and don't even bother to finish the sentence--well whatever it is, I assume it's an act not fit for a pirest.
This! I came to the comments to see if anyone else had wrote this! It really drives me up the wall - especially as someone who 'benefits' from companies 'going woke'. Companies are not doing it because of some massive conspiracy (that is often anti-semitic if you look into them), they're doing things that generate them more money and allow them to look after their staff and guests better.
Not the public's fault, per se, but the fear-mongering click-bait news articles where riders are "stranded" for "hours" when the ride did exactly what it was designed to do in an emergency situation. To be swiftly followed by the riders' question you'd hear at least 5 times an hour, "Am I gonna die on the ride?" When Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists.

Sadly, there will always be ignorance...

I love your videos and I can relate to the annoyance you feel about all these things.

Disney and Trix: They are not just for kids!
Same, I'm An Adult & I Love Both Those Disney & Trix Cereal 😁👍

When people claim they're massive disney fans but call disney world 'disneyland' 😡 absolutely gets on my nerves!
If you mean my slip on this one, I was definitely on the very tired side when I filmed. Normally that's something that gets on my nerves as well.
And if you didn't catch my slip- then good for me. hehe
@SirWillow oh no I didn't catch your slip 😆
My grandma has said the 5th one all the time when I go to Disney I do know it’s for all ages
One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone calls Silver Dollar City "Steal your dollar City" it really grinds my gears when i find Herschend extremely competitive with it's pricing in the theme park community.
And don't get me started on the walt disney frozen thing
Some other theme parks might offer experiences you might not get at Disney, so if you limit yourself to Disney you might be missing out.
I have heard about the lie about Walt was antisemitic as well
So about saying Walt was racist
I try to correct them, some listened
Others thought they knew better
Love the T-shirt!

Exactly 👍🏻
Great Video. 😃👍♥️

I'm making a list so I know what to say next time I see you.😅😅😂😂😂
Those people talk first THEN think later (if at all).
We usually spend most of our time at Disney becase my wife can't really handle thrill ride so my wife can enjoy more of the rides and shows there.
I know that ring tone on your phone it's from TARDIS land
Considering the t-shirt...!
Before the show begins I assume when you say you "just wanna..." and don't even bother to finish the sentence--well whatever it is, I assume it's an act not fit for a pirest.
I bet it’s a internet rumor
Too bad nobody thought to ask the Sherman brothers themselves or just one of them what walt was actually like and didn't he work with jews
Nobody says any of that.
Please silence all cell phones while recording!
You forgot, I don't like Disney anymore because they have "gone woke".😮😳
