My spouse and I plan to go to Mexico in November this year. We are 55 and both women so we rely on reviews and videos to make sure where we are traveling meets our needs and for safety etc. I just love this couple. Even though they are young, they really provide information for people of all ages who travel. They also go to smaller less touristy places that are quieter. They really do a great job and I would love to follow them exploring another country like India, or Europe. (hint hint) I hope they continue to make videos and tour the world. What an amazing way to live your life.

    Hey Guys...
At 70 years old I must say you two are adorable. You remind me so much of myself arriving in Brazil in 1969 as a brand new Peace Corps volunteer. I did not (literally) know one word of Portuguese. Everything was new and wonderful. That experience shaped my whole life.
With a little luck, my wife will love the Latin culture as much as I do.
We have an exploratory trip planned in December and an AirBnB all set in Ajijic! My Portuguese is excellent which automatically makes my Spanish pretty fluent. I am still struggling with things like "ahorita" and "Un ratito" but everything is coming along well.
I am just praying there is good fishing in Laguna Chapala!!!

Hey guys, FYI every community has a local government sponsored purified water dispenser facility and they charge even less that the Oxos change out the bottle program. It's about 55 US cents or like 10 pesos or so. They will wash out the water bottle and then refill with pure-yummy water and reseal it all like it's brand new. Look for a small building that says something like "Agua Puri" or something. Usually every fractionamente (suburb) has one or two depending on the size of the community as well as about every 5-10 blocks if you are in a bigger city proper. Often they are near the main street in a smaller city like Puerto Morelos. Keep on trucking!!

Although not fluent in Spanish we have had lots of great adventures and learned a lot along the way. My wife has very similar health issues to Maddi and we also find the food and climate in Mexico makes her feel much better. We feel its the super fresh (mostly GMO free) food with minimal processing, pesticides and preservatives. Any chance we will see future content from the Baja? Would love to see more about this area.

You should go to Hoover Dam, Red Rock State Park and Mount Charleston when you come to Vegas. There is a lot of snow at Mount Charleston now. Very beautiful.

Wish you well on your roundabout to SinCity. Guessing you are safer in Porto Morales. Thank you for the hard work and long hours dedicated to educating me and providing great entertainment. My most recent trips to Mexico included Porto Vallarta and Guadalajara. I thought I was finished with Mexico until I came across the Tangieine Husky. Think I will book a flight for Porto Morales for the end of this month. The local Chamber of Commerce owes you guys big time. Again, thanks for your dedication to all the unknowns out here in the dark recesses of youtube land.

Try Amazon MX if you want to buy something that you can't get in the area, like your mics. About $25 for the first year. DLR does almost all of the delivery. Heard good things about the service.2 day delivery.

Thanks for the tip! Something we kept running into was the import taxes though. There are a few tech brands that produce their products in Mexico, but even Amazon MX products are subject to import taxes.

I quickly turn over the garrafón and hope for the best :)
60-65 pesos is a typical price for two.
15k pesos/month for a one bedroom is crazy expensive.
A bit of advance planning if you're interested: I'm coming to Cancún in mid-July. If you need something from the US at that time, let me know. Electronics are 1/2 price in the US.

This was almost hard to watch as we just got back from 3 weeks in Playa del Carmen. I loved hearing the birds in the background!! We didn't get a chance to check out Puerto Moreles so I guess we have to go back!

Thats so positive, how cheap rent can be, in the Colonia of Puerto Morelos, so much so you could easily live on very little there. Variable internet, checked by speed test with a laptop, good tip, before renting a place. It's $2000 a month for a 1 bedroom where I live. Glad your paying less than half of that in Mexico. One could actually live on social security there it seems.

Depends on your lifestyle and what you are comfortable with in living in. Vivanuncious is a wonderful site for local rentals that are much lower cost. However cost of living is very high all over Riviera Maya especially when in comparison to some other areas in Yucatan. Example a brand new apartment we rented in north Merida furnished including wifi and water was $12k pesos. That same apartment smaller in Riviera was $21k. Facebook marketplace is decent but Vivanuncious was much better

Have fun on your Las Vegas trip! I am also thinking about moving to Mexico, or at least trying it out for 6 months to see if I like it. Puerto Morelos and Puebla City are at the top of my list. I considered Ajijic, but I don't think the cobblestone streets and hills will agree with me. You guys seem like such a nice couple, don't ever tell us if you get divorced! I'd probably cry, which is weird because I don't know you. Best of luck!

There is no insulation in buildings in Quintana Roo. It's solid cement or momposteria.

Guys, maybe you are in a mistake when put the Garrafon in the dispenser of water, because the tape rose of plastic are a screw cap, you must unscrew the cap and put the garrafon on the dispenser. maybe the make the hole in the cap is a trick to not spill water to much also that trick make the water exit more slow.

    • @TangerineTravels
      @TangerineTravels 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

We tried removing the cap in previous attempts and those ended horribly! Haha. It's totally meant as a trick to not spill water.
