I can’t wait to get one of those hammock tents. Then I will save my dollars for a wood stove. Nothing better then a good nights sleep in a warm hammock
I am just sitting here remembering old videos....the one where you tied your hammock above a babbling creek in the winter months... and another one where you visited many times with your young kids, it was a fort you built and had an outer fort area for a fire also in the winter months. Many fun memories of your camping experiences !
That tarp shelter is amazing! I prefer hammock camping and its hard to find a tarp that covers properly. Im definitely getting one of these! Thanks for sharing!
I've gone back to ground camping, I need a little cave. I'm. Deffo a tent guy but I love watching hammock videos and I love going on hammock day camps. They are the best for just chilling during the day.
I love watching these videos as they remind me of when I was a kid...always in the bush up a mountain. They are a great reminder of some of the realities of life as you hear people talking about being 'self sufficient' all the time. You have to ask yourself after watching survival/camping videos, really? are you self-sufficient? We all stand on the shoulders of giants.
I always learn something from you. I was out last night in my hammock, and it was 23 degrees F when I woke up. A good night in the woods. Peace; be safe, and thanks for sharing.
I just got home from a week in Wyoming. I used a regular tarp over my hammock and it worked perfectly. It rained 2-3 evenings and once was fairly heavy. The only thing I didn’t exactly like was how narrow the space was. It worked perfectly but I wish the trees had been a bit bigger. I basically laced up the ends of the tarp like a shoe around the tree. I got lucky that the lowest it got was probably 22-25 degrees because I didn’t have any heat. I’m getting a little old for no heat nowadays and will probably invest in a little portable propane heater for the next trip.
What a peaceful and relaxing overnight. I would have loved to been able to do something like this when I was younger. I was sad when you had to pack up to head home.
I just really enjoy watching your shows because it’s a pleasant reprieve from watching all the negativity and sadness in this world when I come across your channel I choose that first every time😀😍
After watching a few of you guys with stoves and hot tents I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and get one soon...Christmas present to myself maybe :)
Love watching you set up camp. We never burn green sappy pine in stoves or chimneys. It'll gunk up the pipe going up. I'd love to do stuff like this. Have fun.
LOVE IT MAN. SO GLAD YOU DIDN'T SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON COOKING. MOST VIDEOS SHOW MORE OF FOOD COOKING THAN CAMPING. I KNOW IT'S PART OF IT,YOU SPENT JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF TIME. GOOD JOB !
It was fun hanging out with you in the wilderness with your branded tent and the wind crisp twirling around your tent makes me relax and want to fall asleep. It was a very interesting time with you. I love the way you capture the moments and all the preparation til packing all your stuff nicely in one backpack. See you next time. Time to go to sleep. Zzzzz..
Amazed to see a wood stove in tent like that. It is safer than fire pit on ground.Learn something new setting up his tent. Hope it is safe with wind. Smart ideal. Have a good camping. Love the stove. Food looks delicious and a nice cozy atmosphere at night.
Yeah man, I remember the first night I took one of my tents out, I had flown to Utah, gear was limited. Had a pit fire (the site had a small metal fire ring), and one of the embers immediately landed on my new fleece jacket and burned a tiny hole in the pocket. I was then completely paranoid about sparks flying over and zapping my tent. Not an unfounded fear. But yeah man, this stove seems to be the answer for flying sparks, for sure! Certainly great for a cold night with the wind and damp conditions!
Man I swear I need new fun toys every time I watch you! I switched to instant coffee while out in the woods and you just hand grind some fresh beans to rub it in… really love the new stove. Now a stainless steel French press!
Ether this this is your go-to camp site or it has been somebody else’s before. Already cut camp wood next to tree and birch tress look freshly harvested lol

I like the equal amount of commentary to silentness, Most other channels are either relaxing and quiet the whole time or commentary and how to’s.
👍👍👍
I love that even though you are a through-and-through *outdoorsman* you ALWAYS set-up a *cozy campsite.* Thank you Sir and have a great weekend.
Thanks so much

Cool set up
Seems like a cool selling point that you could also just use as a tarp hot tent w no hammock. Looks way bigger than most hot tents.
