I wasn't sure if Kevlin said "we wanted to capture that DIVERSITY" or "we wanted to capture that PERVERSITY"... But I think the two are just different perspectives on the same concept anyway. Oh thanks for that Emily... in the past I've always done my approval tests with a thought that perhaps I might be doing something "naughty" or "wrong" and I'm always visibly furtive as I do that little copy and paste... Next time I can replace my guilt with pure smugness and say to myself "I'm doing Approval Testing, I'm clever, I am" :) "Being Dave Farley" is a marvellous piece of work. Just enough of a fine sprinkling of disrespect to be funny without being outright insulting... I hope Dave found it as funny as some of us out here are. Holly's intro made me laugh too (but ironically) because, these days, a find a lot of the programmers who look upon others and say "you're stupid, you're intellectually weak" start this statement off with "You're not using Java..." Wow... Kevlin Henney AND Jane Austen in one slide... my fanboy circuits are in overload... I don't know which pin-up to gaze adoringly at first. ;)

Love this format, want to see more like this and I'm not even a Java dev!
Great talk Trisha

The link of the qr is not working for me.
I think you'll find it was only for the people in the audience, not for us on TH-cam.
