I saw another video where they said you need to run your sinks hot water first cause your dishwasher water may not be heating up enough to dissolve the tablet when it first begins the cycle
I'm so stupid. I never would have thought of this! I thought something was wrong with the unit. So glad I searched online and found your video, and thank you for sharing this info.
What do you do if the pod hasn’t dissolved but the tray has opened and released the pod from its position. Second time I’ve found the pod move from the tray onto the bottom of the dishwasher.
Thanks for the video and explanation I think this may be the problem in my case By design where tablet should fall during the process? All the way to the bottom, or into arm of upper rack?
You could try using powdered detergent like this one amzn.to/3b628A1 and see if it helps. If that doesn't work it might be time to call in a dishwasher repair technician.
It means your dishwasher is not getting hot or pumping enough water through the ducts. Need a new one man :( I'm surprised it washed at all. A good dishwasher you can pop soiled dishes right in that bitch, slap the wash button and they come out crystal clear.
Does cold water dissolve the dishwasher tablets or not? Because I live in a country where in the winter the water gets too cold. And Can warm water solve the problem?
Hi Chuck Zellner. I'm glad I was able to help. I'm a small youtuber trying to grow my channel, if you could subscribe that would really help me out. Thanks!
Finish detergent does not dissolve. These tablets are junk. Take a Finest tablet and put into a coffee cup with water. Place into micro and heat in 30 second intervals. Scoop out the tablet after each consecutive 30 second heating periods. On averages it will take about 1:30-2 00 to.dissolve these tablets in the microwave. The water in any dishwasher usually gets to about 140 Fahrenheit. If you use Finish on regulR basis your dishwasher will become clogged with soap that never dissovles. I have 30 years experience in repairing appliances. This is the truth. .
Many times I open completed cycle with hot water and the entire finish tab is sitting at bottom of washer, released from retainer, but totally undissolved! Any ideas for that problem?
Sometimes soap doesn't release/dissolve, remaining in retainer with little door open. Sometimes does release and still doesn't dissolve at bottom of washer. So annoying!
Wait that works?? I’ve been trying to use my dishwasher it’s brand new and the door is opening up but it’s just not dissolving so I’m super confused lol
Technically it all dissolves in the prewash but I've been running mine for years this way and my dishes come out pretty spotless. I also rinse mine pretty thoroughly before putting them in tho. It's more of a sanitizing thing for me
I did a bit of research and you just might be correct. The model shown has a drawer for powdered detergent and a spot for tablets. Not all dishwashers have both, but in his case it appears that he is putting the tablet into the powdered detergent tray, and it should be going into the small rectangular area to the side of the powder tray. This allows a more measured amount of water to dissolve the tablet.
No they don't. From the Finish website: If you’re placing the tablet at the bottom of the dishwasher it’s likely that it will dissolve too quickly, releasing the detergent during the prewash and leaving no detergent for the main wash cycle. This will reduce the efficiency of your wash.

This is the single MOST PRACTICAL video I have EVER SEEN. So ridiculous. You saved me from throwing out all of my dishwashing tabs 😂 THANK YOU!!
Buy this man a beer! I ran my dishwasher three times before finally watching this video only to find a pint glass was blocking the detergent door 🤦♂️
FOR REAL!!! I wasted 3 pods only to find out it was my air fryer basket SMH LOL
"It's actually a pretty simple and logically justified way to fix this problem. Thanks!
Thanks brother I had a pan blocking mine. Ran it 3 times and didn’t know what was the problem then I watched this video! Problem solved!
OMG this is so simple but yet exactly what i did the last two times and wondered why my pods weren't dissolving.
Thank you!!
But what do you do if there is nothing blocking the soap dispenser?
I saw another video where they said you need to run your sinks hot water first cause your dishwasher water may not be heating up enough to dissolve the tablet when it first begins the cycle
I almost bought a new dishwasher until I set TEMPERATURE ON HIGH! Now the door opens and tablet desolves everytime!!!
Pre-rinse your dishes and toss the tablet into the dish washer.
Thank you for your SIMPLE to understand video! Awesome!
Glad it was helpful!
Seriously, buy this guy a beer!
What if you dont have anything obstructing the front of the washer. These same pods get stuck in the holder. Now what??
Is there an aftermarket throw in your dishwasher for dispensing detergent
Thanks for the video! My dishwasher dispensed the soap after I made those changes. :)
Glad it helped!
My problem is same
😆😆 omg I can’t believe that was the issue. TH-cam never fails
I'm so stupid. I never would have thought of this! I thought something was wrong with the unit. So glad I searched online and found your video, and thank you for sharing this info.
LITERALLY worked like a charm! We had a larger pot pushing against the inside of the door, when we moved it, worked perfectly!
What do you do if the pod hasn’t dissolved but the tray has opened and released the pod from its position. Second time I’ve found the pod move from the tray onto the bottom of the dishwasher.
Thanks for sharing, great tips 👍
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the information! And can I use these tablets without plastic coating ? Have a nice day.
Yes you can!
Thanks for the video and explanation
I think this may be the problem in my case
By design where tablet should fall during the process? All the way to the bottom, or into arm of upper rack?
Thank you very much, you were very helpful!
Thanks for the short video
Thank you so much bro first time using a dish washer and you helped me more than enough thank you
Thank you! A plate was blocking the dispenser.
You're welcome, I'm glad I could help.
That was it! Thank you so much! I had a knife in the way!🤦♀️🤦♀️
That was the problem! Thanks so much!
Thank you!!
Clever, thanks !
What will use instead of dishwasher detergent?
And what if nothing is obstructing it from openning, but still not dissolving?

@@pilotavery 🤣🤣
you can also put the tab inside the cutlery basket, more expensive dishwashers, have a sliding door system to release the dish detergent

Thanks man! That’s it!

Me too 🤣🤣!!
Aaaaah.... thanks. I had one of my cooking pans where your cutting board was. 😅😅
Why would you use a plastic cutting board?
Thank youuuuuu

I just wanna know how it works lol
Like does the Soap Tablet just fall down the bottom, if so how does it clean the dishes !?
Many times I open completed cycle with hot water and the entire finish tab is sitting at bottom of washer, released from retainer, but totally undissolved! Any ideas for that problem?
Having the same problem
See my comment above. The best thing you can do is use liquid Cascade. A liquid will always break down easier 5han a solid.
Didn’t work. Ran 1 month old dishwasher with nothing in it at the highest settings and we still have goo in the dispenser.
what is the price of this finish jar with126 tables
Didn’t work for me I put two dishes in an the soap still didn’t release 🤯

@@hederamom same problem,how to resolve?
@@hederamom same with me too! Any idea how to solve it?
It refuse to go down without a fight
I just throw the detergent at bottom of dishwasher.

That tablet is suppose to be in the smaller pocket

What is the mark
If you read the instructions they say to drop it in the bottom

Your dishwasher has got mineral deposits from hard water.
You have a good eye...any tips on getting rid of the mineral deposits?
Maybe bicarb and vinegar. Appliance descaler for dishwashers. Maybe try casecade platinum or a really good all in one tablet.
We have water softner so there is no mineral deposit. It still not dissolveing the tablets.
fuck yeah man, thanks
