Will Scriven Actually, both crossings were upgraded in 2012 I think. Both Aylesford Village and Snodland were done together and during the renewals, Snodland signal box was closed. The controls have been moved to Aylesford signal box. Network Rail are trying to upgrade all the remaining gated crossings and getting rid of all the signal boxes on this line.
You'd be surprised, this crossing was actually upgraded in summer 2013 (ignore me for saying 2014). I've just found some pictures of the crossing & signal box before & after it all got upgraded. Aylesford Village LC got upgraded/renewed in early 2014 & I believe so did this one too.
