China’s crackdown on dissent is getting more extreme - and bizarre - by the day. In an outrageous abuse of power, the pro-Beijing leader of Hong Kong has announced that a bounty has been placed on the heads of eight pro-democracy activists. John Lee says he’ll pay $200,000 for the capture of each one.
As Sarah Abo reports, it’s not an idle threat. Lee warns he will hunt the dissidents down and make them suffer for the rest of their days. Thankfully the eight wanted activists have all found refuge outside China, including two who are now in Australia. But that doesn’t lessen the fear they feel.

It's better late the never for Australia, they let the CCP/CHINA take over so much from their land/Country. All the CCP/CHINA does in any other country they do it with ill intent they will lend small island country's large amounts of money to them for mayor projects just so when they default on payment they take over what ever they project was, a airport,Road, mines, just to take power in the other country...Smart move but evil!!

As someone who grew up in Hong Kong, I’m grateful to 60 Minutes Australia for doing a segment on Hong Kong and it’s dissidents. It’s a big issue that’s never really gotten enough coverage. I am also eternally grateful for people like Kevin Yam who risked everything he had to fight for this deluded utopia that was promised under the Basic Law. Like him, I had a decent life and career in Hong Kong but I chose to leave as soon as the first major protest, the umbrella revolution, so to speak, happened in 2014. I envisioned it to fail and things would turn for the worse. I told my friends that things would only get worse in the future. Things would get back to normal for a bit until the next catalyst happened and all hell would break loose. And then it would be the beginning of the end. So I left around 2015 and returned to my other “home”. It was always a long shot that the Democrats were fighting for and many risked everything they had for that. As you can see, Kevin Yam is articulate and well educated. He was a lawyer so he had a great life there but he was willing to fight the losing fight. I have enormous respect for him and those who fight this losing battle. For me, Hong Kong is dead. It has no more value to anyone. Once you take away the British institutional system and rule of law, it is just another Chinese city, with maybe slightly better English skills. If businessmen were to do business with China, they would face the exact same risks in Hong Kong as they would in say Shanghai or Shenzhen. There’s no more reason to set up business in Hong Kong anymore. And shenzhen and Shanghai are probably even more developed and advanced than Hong Kong in terms of infrastructure and technology. They really killed Hong Kong the day they rendered the rule of law a thing of the past.

      John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

      Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

On Thursday the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed “strong disapproval” and “firm opposition”, demanding clarification over a meeting two days earlier between United States consulate political counsellor Julie Eadeh and Wong, Nathan Law Kwun-chung, as well as fellow core members of local political party Demosisto.
In a statement, the office also labelled the activists “anti-China forces who stir up trouble in Hong Kong”.
US was behind the HK violent riots.... what's new !
Now the HK authorities are coming after these traitors.

Democracy is not "I can say or can do whatever". In fact, it is "respect", "restraint", "understanding". You cannot throw an idea to someone without educating the person first. Many politicians use the name of "democracy" for their own profiting.
