Many Saint Lucians have grandparents that come from Barbados. My grandfather Clement Bishop was from Saint Michael. British Dr. Marie Charles have some good information on the black people who were brought to the Caribbean. So I am recommending some of you all to check some of her TH-cam videos.

My family followed exactly the path you described - Barbados to Trinidad, then New York
