a little reminder that you are first cancelling the dew glide with a sidestep, and *then* cancelling the sidestep with back or forward! the buttons need to be pressed in pretty quick succession, but just like with anything else, take it slowly if you are struggling! you can speed it up once you have the rhythm down!
@@averagegamer4346i enjoy visual notation like the arrows and seeing timing. my learning preference, but however, this tut still helped otherwise without the move history or not 🤷♀️
Nice video, really helpful. For the people struggling to cancel dew glide in combos, you can practice by doing a simple cancel into 1 or 2 without having to press back or forward by pressing up while "gliding". Here's a sample combo d+34, u+3, 3~f, u (cancel), 1, b+2, 1~f, 3, ff+3, 1, 4. That should be 10 hits 77 damage (78 if you cancel with 2 instead of 1).
Never done a dew glide combo ever and I got this in about 10 minutes. I think my issue is I don’t know when I’m actually able to go for one of these. I try and raw dew glide cancel for some of my regular combos without counter hit and it’s hard as crap. Do you know if there is a certain sweet spot to hit your opponent to start these or is it typically only after counter hit or the opponent hits the floor on the first bound? Hopefully that makes sense. Regardless thank you for giving me the same feeling of joy I got from the first time I ever hit a combo.
so after cancelling dew glide with up (sidestep) you have to basically crouch into the ws 1,2. the timing is tricky at first and you have to do it all pretty quickly!
*Update got to Mighty Ruler!* love How you explained doing on a slow phase, Im gonna try it out, still, hopefully when i master this, i can stable my combos bit better ^_^
As someone training on the timing (AFTER putting my thumb through boot camp to muscle memory the sidestep cancel). How did you get past your thumb being in the definition of pain for this? I'm playing on pad.
so using b1 on its own can be a really good tool in neutral for approaching and applying pressure. cancelling the b1 or transitioning into dew glide make it safe on block! moreover, cancelling b1 opens up completely different avenues for applying pressure or your game plan. it really just depends on what you’re trying to achieve in the moment 🙂
absolutely! the qcf motion can be pretty tricky at first, try just sliding your thumb from d, to df, to f! it’ll start to feel very natural after a while!
I'm trying to do 3,2,3 after the dewglide cancel, the only way I found is to cancel dewglide with UP, press BACK for a few frames to cancel the UP command (otherwise I get SS3) and only then I can do 3,2,3 on a pretty tight timing, otherwise the game takes it like I'm pressing b3 and I go into Feisty Rabbit. Any ideas on how to make it easier? Or is it the only way to go from dewglide cancel into that string?
that *is* actually the only way to go into 323 after a dew glide, you’re correct! (cancelling the dew glide with either back or forward) it’s wonky but you really do have to be quite quick with it if you plan to use that string out of dew glide!
@@combobreaker9618not that much as of tekken 7 and 8 but good for wall carry. But as of Tekken tag 2 it was really rewarding damage wise and had good wall carry as well

This is where people don’t realize that optimal Lili play requires a little bit of higher execution in combos and pressure.
Good video but command history would have been very HELPFUL here
🤦 don’t know how that slipped my mind. i’ll remember that for next time!

they play lili ofc the fits are gonna be fire
Very helpful vid. Also those are some pretty cute customs for Lili.
thank you so much!
How do people do this on duelshock omg I already have carpal tunnel after doing two in a row

I might have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a fightpad or a stick because Dew Glide is hard to do with a PS5 controller :/

Thank you so much I have seen lili combo's utilizing this move but I didn't know how to do it.
How do people cancel it into ws 1,2 f3? Or am I doing it wrong? Or are there any other good wallsplat combo options instead?

i’ve uploaded a new video explaining cancelling dew glides into WS moves, if it helps!
i use d~df~neutral~1,2. It usually works, if i do the full motion (qcf) then it will just use her qcf moves.

That's so hard I tried it omg... I'll try your advice tks....

thank you!

Complete beginner here. In what instance would cancelling it be a better option than just following through with a whole combo?

I play with a stick unfortunately. I find it much easier with the directional buttons indeed !

Why does Asuka's fit look better on Lili than on herself 😭
agreed 💀 i love the theory that Lili moving in with Asuka has something to do with her new look lol. it definitely reads more Lili.
omg those outfits are goood~
thanks for the guide, maybe this helps me to get to mighty ruler lol X)
thank you! best of luck, i’m rooting for you! 👊
Learning to efficiently dew glide cancel as well. Its a good wall carry doing two or three b+1~f~u
Btw, you sound like Jared from Silicon Valley 😅
how did you get that hairstyle for lili with the side braid?
the hair extensions i use are accessories! you’ll find them in the accessory tab of customization! i just alter the size and placement of course.

Turn down the mic boost a bit. Voice audio is too loud.
will do!
Ty here is my like and sub
Do it 3 times in a combo is so hard for me
Do you still press back after dew glide before a b+1?
yes! if you’re trying to do 2 b+1 dew glide cancels in a row, the full input should look like this:
b1f, u, b, b1f
This is epic but you should show button inputs next time. We're all scrubs out here.
haha, will do! i apologize for the oversight! next time i won’t forget!
just play fairly :l
can i ask what you think is unfair about a mechanic that is very intentionally placed in the game?
