подскажите, а какую кожу используете? название и тип дубления? и какая исходная толщина была?
Здесь использую овчину, скорее всего хромовую. Изначальная толщина была около 1.2 мм. А вообще на этой машинке можно практически любую кожу истончать.

Thanks! It may be because of wrong angle of the knife OR wrong position of the roll relating to the knife. Try to change these settings, it should help. Another probable reason is that you try to skive too much thickness at a time (0.5 mm and more), try to go slower. :-)

Awesome work? What thickness leather would you suggest for superhero boots? I’m trying to make a figure for my son . And want to try this for the boots and gloves any help would be amazing please.
Thank you. :-) It depends on scale. For 1/6 I thin leather to 0.4-0.5 mm, it's enough. To measure thickness precisely you can try a tool called "coating thickness gauge" or "paint meter". Not necessary but helpful.
