OVERSEAS VOTERS REGISTRATION FOR 2016 NATIONAL ELECTIONS

  • H.E. Crescente R. Relacion, Philippine Ambassador to Qatar invites all Filipino Community to register in order to vote for the 2016 National Election on May 6, 2014 up to October 30, 2015 at the Philippine Embassy in Qatar.
    The target of new registrants imposed by the DFA / COMELEC for Doha PE shall be 16,000. Doha PE had a total of 23,259 registered voters for the senatorial elections of 2013. However, only 2,374 only actually voted. Around 3,500 new registrants were enlisted by Doha PE for the senatorial elections of 2013.
    Those who need to register shall be of a Filipino Citizen shall bring a copy of passport, who will be in overseas or abroad and will vote in the 2016 national elections on April-May 2016.
    Must at least 18 years old during the elections.
    Those who have registered in the Philippines but not for overseas voting shall register.
    Those who deactivated as overseas voters due to non-voting in the past 2 successive elections, and those who have registered as overseas voters in another country but wish to transfer shall also to register.
    There will be a registration corner at the Embassy during work days.
    The Embassy will conduct on-site / mobile registration during weekends at the workers accommodation and/or worksites with many of a Filipinos are there, at any of a Filipino Community events or gatherings and at churches.
