Allegedly the algorithm stops recommending videos to viewers if you switch content too heavily, opening a second channel is probably wise. I would love to see some Mast Dark and Darker content on a separate channel!

Technically, you are right. In reality, it's really tough to change a YT Channel course after being heavily focused in a single game. The algorithm sees his "new game videos" getting less views (let's be honest, the major part of the subs are here for Smite content) and stops showing his videos in recommended feeds, leading to even less views.
I believe starting a second channel is the best call, he can advertise his new channel here on every video, leave a link in the comments, etc and those that want will check it out.
Hmmm... I think you're right about the algorithm working that way. I'm not sure what happens if there's the occasional non-Smite video as far as algorithm recommendations go (say, normal Smite uploads, but a random video of a different game every week or two). Potentially it could be used to "market test" different games for what people would watch. Personally, Mast's humor and ability to say things in a deadpan voice would be hilarious for Knights of the Old Republic (saying things like "Oh, the Sith just committed mass murder... that's unfortunate...").@@everettholcombe6602
Mr. Mast, I think the reason we are all here to begin with is YOU. You can't mentally afford to brew over and worry about where this channel, your online persona or even Smite in general is heading. Just enjoy what you love doing and what WE ALL love you for and don't get wrapped up thinking about the future. First, consider your life and be happy that you have a hobby where you can entertain thousands of people who look forward to your content and rely on it for vicarious reasons. I'd follow you and your content to wherever you choose, and I can tell you that the other 137k+ subs will be there to support you no matter what. Please keep the content flowin and if the day comes when you should ask yourself the question "Why?", just imagine 2 super bowl stadiums of people shouting your fecking name! I hope the new place is working out for you and the cat! Don't stop, Legend.
I'm down for more Mast content with a second channel. I don't see another channel being the way to go. This is the Mast channel, after all, but I'll take it in any form.

Yeah, I do enjoy some Smite, but I started playing in 2014. That was a depressingly long time ago. There are lots of good games available if he wants to branch out. Depending on the game, I might not watch some videos, but it's difficult to imagine that there aren't numerous choices that a large portion of his current fans would enjoy.
Every day I get on TH-cam and hope to see the Mast thumbnail sitting at the top and finally that day has come. Rejoice the king has returned.

Yay, I've been waiting for you to come out with some good cooldown reset cheese since they added that item branch. You can do it with ADCs too, especially if they have a heal, by adding the Deathbringer glyph and Death's whatever. Machine gunning Neith spirit arrows or having Marti perma-root people isn't necessarily good damage, but it is hilarious and tilting for the enemy team.

Glad you're back with the cheese, no matter what you want to do with the channel I'd prefer you find something sustainable. I would hate to miss out on Mast content in the long run because you got burnt out on making videos that you didn't have fun with.
I remember hearing you talk about Tarkov and I remember seeing the short you made about it, You should make some more Tarkov stuff and collab with some people, ironically weak3n has been streaming a lot of Tarkov and that would be a cool collab to see on smite or tarkov imo
(Btw Charon doesn't have a cripple he silenced you mid dash, he used his kit silence but the amulet of Silence is super fun on him)

You gotta think, sure you’re a fun go to for people into Smite, but you’ve also got a lot of people (me included) who don’t really play Smite anymore but come back to your channel for the memories YOU created. I used to watch you all the time, so I’m accustomed to the way you talk and the way you make videos. Okay mast, if you want some CHEESE, try this: since lono’s mask’s most recent buff you can build prophetic + gauntlet and get all 5 stacks of lono’s passive to deal full damage. This gives you permanent 10% dmg mitigation for no downside, and you can still have 3 damage items!!! The hardest part about this is obviously it’s extremely late game, and you don’t remove the lono’s stacks until you fully evolve both gauntlet and prophetic. The way to do it is by building dmg early (probably lifesteal) in the solo lane then prophetic, gauntlet, more dmg, lono’s (forego starter in the early and fully upgrade it here), then end with another dmg. The order definitely could be different. In jungle practice on ravana I was able to solo efg with this build lmao. I guess it would be easier to do this build in sup but super Chad to make it work in solo lane

I think it would be good to talk about what makes the game fun and what might be working against that, then suggest some things for improvement - maybe even run a community item creation event!
For me, a game where the whole premise is about using abilities shouldn't really have long silence mechanics. Like Ganesh and Nox silences for example.
Items that can add effects to existing skills or alter how existing skills works would be fun. "Pull in enemies in a radius around you when you land after a jump", "Your healing now grant shield that lasts for x seconds instead", "Abilities costs no mana, but have +40% cooldown time"
Stuff that lets players be creative in how they build their picks and personalise their playstyle

I am definitely with you on the smite isn't as fun train... not so much the removal of cheese, but more so the dumbing down of everything. There used to always be viable ways to make off role picks work now it just seems everything is cookie cutter and people get mad cause you wanna play a little anhur support or something else from way out in left field

Also I do agree they have tried to turn this casual competitive game into a very serious game it seems. But that just might be my point of view.

Your rant about the removal of cheese is so valid. I miss session 8 shenanigans so bad and now it feels like there are so few options comparatively. It felt like maybe we'd have some with the glyphs on runeforge and pridwen, but then runforge got nerfed off ripe, and pridwen was just standard build every game material. Not like it really clicked with a handful of gods like old animosity or something (I miss the peak of that item so bad). Archdruid's looked super promising, but they just keep nerfing it into uber meh territory. And every other item in the game just feels like it doesn't synergize enough to get away with something goofy. Do you know how bad I want to do a fun build with absolution!? But what character wants to throw away an ult for CC cleansing? It just feels like goofy fun builds have been in a corner for a while and it almost feels like we need another whole item tree for things to get flexible again.
Bumba's Ah Puch, Osiris, and (Basically every guardian), along with Animosity on half the roster was so fun. Gilga, ama, and vamana, or something extra wacky like zhong doing animosity is something I miss a lot man. Or how about Bumba's MASK builds!? Peak smite item. I miss it everyday.
