But still, it really feels like there's a missing step between BotW and TotK that the game doesn't clarify properly, and though it is pretty much insignificant to the plot, it bugs me.

Technically there is a ancient blade you can get and fuse but i would like to know where the multiple ton animal war machines went

Its the Tunic of the Wild, the only tunic you can change colors, all the others are locked green
You can change the outfit colors in Heteno
