- Sharing OUR INTIMATE CIVIL WEDDING IN SG DURING THE PANDEMIC
Since I was young, I would always imagine how my dream wedding would look like. But now, I know it is not about how, but about WHO I AM MARRYING.
This may not be what I dreamed of, but this is what we both needed. And our wedding was way better than a dream that's why it is called a reality. Our love for each other is more valuable than a fancy wedding. And I could not ask for more.
The church wedding in PH may not happen due to pandemic (even though everything is planned and paid already), there will always be Plan B to Z- ours is to have a very simple intimate Civil Wedding in SG.
We chose a free venue in Singapore, bridal car was Grab taxi, got a cheap photographer, my friend was the videographer, and the reception was just a restaurant in a mall.
My gown was rented, wore old heels, free hair and make up by our housemate, I used free bridal robe, hair accessories and veil, chose to have dried bouquet from Shopee, not only because it will last long, but also because it is much cheaper than real ones here in SG, I made DIY vow booklets, and our wedding cake was given to us.
EJ just bought new white longsleeves, watch, and shoes, and the rest are old one.
We only spent a lot on our wedding rings- because that's the only material thing that matters in a wedding, it will be with us forever and also a symbol of our union.
We just wished we celebrated it with our families in the Philippines. But with them in our hearts and minds (and live streaming), and knowing they are all safe are still blessings.
And that's our wonderful amazing special surreal wedding.
