I truly believe I’m the luckiest talk show host in the world. When you look at the 300+ shows we’ve done in the past 2 1/2 years, I’ve had the great good fortune of getting to meet and interview some of the most talented and beloved stars in show business history. Millicent Martin is most definitely one of my favorite guests. Her extensive body of work provided the foundation for a great conversation. And her warmth, wit and beautiful aura of positivity jumps right off the screen and into your heart. I hope you enjoy this very special episode of our show.
I fell in love with the CHIC, captivating Miss Martin when I bought the SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM album way back in the 70’s when I was a kid. I’m happy she was interviewed by the singular Mr Brownstone- who is as dazzled by her as I am.
This was the best interview. Oh my goodness. What an amazing lady. Harvey, you were brilliant in bringing the very best out of Ms Martin. Bravo. I loved every minute.
What a delight. 😊 I'm English and recall my Grandmother saying of Miss Martin, "Millicent Martin gives one the impression of being too clever by half . . And I adore her for it". A national treasure.
Question for you Harvey. It is amazing how gracious you are to every guest and for those up in years, you have to be a little more gracious with your direction of the conversation. Is that a skill you learned while you were a judge or does it just come naturally to you? You do such a great job of maintaining composure and making sure the flow of conversation gets back where you want it to go, etc. Such a rare and great skill to have as an interviewer. Another great interview you knocked out of the park. Cannot wait for the next.
Marvelous interview, but you left a couple of things out. She's amazing on the cast album of "Our Man Crichton," she excelled in a summer-replacement sitcom called "From a Bird's Eye View," and there's also the musical of "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?"
Sorry but we only had so much time. In a career as long and prodigious as Millie’s, we can’t mention every single thing she’s done!! But I’ll be sure to ask her about those shows next time, when she comes back to promote her memoir.

Thank you so much Debra. This interview was a pure joy for me and I hated to see it end!
Just wonderful!! I saw her in Follies in London!
Oh I wish I’d seen her in Follies! Or in anything!
Quite a resumè, this Lady bears. Kudos for keeping all these great long career performers in the spotlight
Thank you for watching. It troubles me that this particular episode of our show hasn’t had more views. Ms. Martin deserves a broader audience!!
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 She really does, and your channel as well.

Oh Terri you are so very kind. The truth is that I use a lot of skills I acquired in the courtroom. Thank you so much for noticing.
Very enjoyable interview and the definite theatre history event. 🎭

Nice!
Yes she is a very nice person indeed!
She should be given an OBE and be addressed as Dame Millicent Martin.
I agree wholeheartedly. 🙏❤️
