Tyler passed away last month after being struck by a deer on his motorcycle. He changed and saved lives with his music. I’m proud to have called him a friend.
I grew up in foster care this hits hard. I am going through CPTSD therapy to deal with it, but I have been where this song has him. I've struggled with depression and suicidality since I was 6 (doctors said it was a phase. I'm 58 now making little chges in hopes of being rid of this. I was literally told I would be a drug addict or a suicide statistic all my life. I tried 150 proof whisky and a combo of medication expecting to never wake up. Since that much alcohol can cause a person to throw up the poison and.choke on it. My ex, who showed up for some reason niether of us knew. My ex was unaware of what I did, and assuming i was simply drunk left in the morning. I'm not sure how I survived but I was hungover for 2weeks. I have had doctors tell me I must be lying about what I did because I received no medical intervention. The saddest part in this was before And during the act I was on the phone with a high school counsoler who became a therapist for my roomat and I. She asked what I was doing but didn’t believe my direct answer and told me she would see me at ny appointment the next day, I told her to cancel it and said goodbye. I knelt down and prayed that God would undeestand and said I was sorry for my weakness. By the time I finished praying I went to sleep. She never checked on me but I came through that.I believe God said. My time isn't over yet I have things to get done,. I've seriously tried to end the pain three or four times. I fight this every day and I'm 60 now. I tell my story to help others understand you can live with suicidal ideation, but it is a fight for you life literally, but no matter how bad life is you matter more than you know. I am looking forward to telling my story as I believe stories help us gove each other tools to add to our survival kit. I cannot stress how important proper help was in that moment now we can text #988 and chat. I am planning to write a book on how I got from that dark place to where I am now.
I've been in a very similar situation i'd love to hear your story and for you to hear mine. Keep your head up high ur doing great, im proud of you for still being here man
@@kisierhipogkul8703I too would love to hear your story, I would consuder it a privelege. I know some people may think that's strange but honestly our humanity is lived out in our story. My profile should have my email hit me up.
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial Yeah, sorry for not being around as much nowadays. My mental health isn't good, let's put it like that. How are you doing, Tom?
I've felt that way for the last ten years. I just don't want to put my family through that, but I'm miserable every day, so it's really hard to resist some nights.
i used to think seeking help was a sign of weakness of faith, or a form of display of my own weakness. life was tough. i can't imagine how much tyler is going through, but i'll be praying for him. i thank God for everyone he's given to help me
I feel like cudi talks about mental health a lot. Bros been going through some tough times and now his haters are making him want to quit for no good reason
Another artist you should check out is Lorna Shore with the song Pain Remains I: Dancing like Flames, don't know if that's up your alley but the video and lyrics together really hit hard, they're a bit heavier than The Amity Affliction and they have some symphonic elements in their songs and some soft/clean vocals in this particular one
Hey gonna recommend you (again) to lisen Scarlxrd, Kordhell & CORPSE - Like Yxu Wxuld Knxw (Autumn Trees). Would love if you reacted to that and break the lyrics down
Love the videos! And the wisdom that come with them. If you like G Herbo you should check out a song off his new album the song is called Outside Looking In. Hope you have a good one!
bro thank you so much for this review 🙏🏼 you broke this down so well, it genuinely helped me understand my own song better 😅
Loved doing this reaction, and love the mental health in it. Hope we can have you as a guest on our podcast someday?😊👍

Honestly, the one thing keeping me from killing myself is family. I don’t want their mental health to suffer like Tyler’s.
Good song! ❤
Hey Rebecca! Thanks for always being honest and kind…Miss you!😊🙏
