If you need a few emails - would the alias feature (up to 30 for free per person, but they are are not shared) or groups/collaborative inbox feature work for you? Its true it may not be the best option for everyone though!

You mentioned getting a Google domain. Is this a current video? I thought Google sold their domain business to SquareSpace.
