Yup, Miku with her magic spell on the dish of eggs, Akane chowing down when Miku obviously didn't want her to, Misa tippling off to the side, Saiki reclining in leisure and Kanami and her girl crush on Saiki. The funny thing in reality is that Miku is the real drinker of the bunch, loves to gamble and play the ponies and eat what the other ladies call "old man snacks" like dried fish, which stink. LOL
Kanami fawns all over Saiki....Saiki's first impulse is to go "get the hell off of me you freak....but then that smile says..."well I guess you are a pretty sweet person. Come here and give us hug" lol😂 they are all such good friends. Love it
Misa and Kanami used to do a little guitar battle in the live version. Unfortunately they did not at the Nashville show, but they brought it back for the Lollapalooza show
That guitar battle from the official live video was SMASHING !!!!! And they cut it down or removed it in the three times I saw them, twice last year and this past May. It's too bad. In a lot of ways, Kanami's style reminds me sometimes of Gary Rossington from Lynyrd Skynyrd, especially in Onset and From Now On.
I was asleep so thx Jeremy. This MV is also one of my faves from the Maids but it still can't beat the conversation of the live version at Zepp, Tokyo 2018 :)
An earlier MV that straight away sets up the characters in the band. They have kept these character traits all the way through. MISA and her drink, Akane and her appetite, Kanami fawning over Saiki, Miku smiling but being destructive. I love how they have kept that all these years. Great music, fun personalities and simply pure entertainment. What's not to love about the band and their music.
I hadn't read you comment when I replied to armynurseboy's post. ... we used the same word ' Fawning' to describe kanami's admiration for Saiki. 😊 it just fits. This song is devastating live. It’s a more traditional rock chorus for the Maids. Where are you going from here? I’m a professional Maidiac musical guide, so I pay attention to which songs you’ve reacted to. What monster hits have you missed? And…the Nashville show left some interesting stuff unplayed! Some very special songs. “Freedom,” official live video. Can’t believe you haven’t seen the famous Akane drum solo! “Onset,” the other instrumental. More proggy than “From Now On” with its little 5/4 section and sweet dotted eighth delays “Bubble,” official music video. “Blooming” wasn’t the only killer track on the Conqueror album. “Wonderland,” official live video. If you liked “Puzzle,” you’re in for another treat here. “Cross,” official live video. A hidden hard rock gem with a distinctive modulated chorus. In the middle of the chorus. You’re a musician; you know how unique that is. “Moratorium,” official live video is the only way to go. Enough killer hard rock riffs for three songs. Kanami’s giving them away for free. Band Maid are prolific songwriters. I hope it never ends!
Yes, Kanami's (and the band's) transitions between sections is silky smooth. Add to it how they change each verse so it never repeats, and their songs become very listenable. They're never boring.
Did you notice? Even in this their earlier MV, all the guitars are hooked up and corded with amps behind them. They are always so detailed on their instruments unlike MOST of other rock bands who just strum on guitars that are NOT hooked up. Even in their "Endless Story" MV, they are all hooked up with guitar cables while in the middle of nowhere volcanic beaches.
Love this song!! The chorus hits so hard on the live version and the middle section with the extended lead bass and guitar duel is epic!! This is a great video that definitely shows their fun goofy side that makes them so lovable!!
This is a banger of a banger. I saw it live in Chicago last year and aside from No God, it was my favorite song of the night. Very fun back and forth with the crowd singing. I would call this a pop-rock song mostly because it's straight modern rock but it's such a catchy hook that it's pop-rock. Of course pop-rock songs don't have shredding solos like that which is why this band is so special.
They often do 'making of'' or behind the scenes video's to their mv's. They usually put them out on Band-Maid Prime. I can't remember if there is one for this.
Yes! Probably my favorite video by the Maids. So many inside jokes and Saiki's voice sounds great imo. I love Kanami's solo and my girl Akane is killing it as always
MISA has her hip flask on stage in a garter, takes sips throughout concerts, and has been known to let audience members take sips as well. Akane (a Goddess!) is famous for eating ... let's face it, when you drum the way she drums, she'd need about 100,000 calories a day! Kanami has apparently always fawned over Saiki (who could blame her?) And Miku - the little pigeon - has a real talent for breaking things. Incredibly talented; amazing music; wonderfully human and relatable. How could anyone not love Band-Maid!
There is a longer live version of this song from Zepp Tokyo and another similar from Lalapalooza with a Misa-Kanami guitar duel. Very cool and worth a listen.
Not wanting to be critical of the video editing, but I have just got to let you know that your audio and your video does not quite match up. The audio is marginally ahead of the visuals. Still love the content of this video. Your reactions are very enjoyable as usual. I can take nothing away from the awesomeness of your reaction to this great song. Yeah, and nothing looks scarier to me than a fully amped-up pigeon, waddling in with glee, all set for destruction.
This is the first MV that played on each Maid's personality quirk.

There was an interview awhile back where Akane said this was her favorite MV to do since they got to destroy stuff.
And it's not because she had the opportunity to eat lots of delicious food during several shots from the movie maker. 😆

The MV is not just fun but everything in it is stunningly beautiful.
Sugoi! Kanami is the best songwriter in the business, often initially writing on piano.
Arigatou! 🤘🤘

Nice reaction and yes, they write some really great music and also play really great music live, live is their strongest talent.
Awesome!!! Hope you react to HATE live from Lolapalooza
This is an awesome video from way back. Akane still has the tiny hat. They just don't make 'em like this any more. Thanks for reacting to this.
I would say try to find and react to the live version that last pause to the to the drum hit is soooo impactfull live yo.
Continues = flows
Try out "Endless Story" (awesome live @ the Silver Spring show)
Transitions, transitions, transitions- this band is the best at it and full stops and rests. Starting to prefer the older songs now.
