This is a once in a format deck, a fully synergistic pile where cards normally considered bad come together to beat the classic Aggro and Midrange good cards piles. I do think you still want Enduring Curiosity, it's an enchantment in a deck with cheap flyers that when it comes back as an enchantment you can pick up again to recast.
I think the biggest problem with this deck is that it doesnt have any card draw which is fine if you are hitting lands and bouncing things over and over again but when you get stuck on 2 and have no way to keep the cards flowing it can really feel bad.
I keep seeing these decks go lower and lower to the ground and I cant help but feel like stapling the dimit top end to the pixie package is just better. Kaito and Curiosity are both absolute units and have actual synergy with the deck's plans. I feel like the deck really needs the card advantage and raw power level of these cards for the anemic draws every synergy deck suffers from. Kaito especially feels like it could be even better here with the added aggression and super high value rebuy targets
Pixie has been my favorite archetype this season. I'm having fun tinkering with Mardu, but 8Fae with Mockingbird is undeniably strong. Kind of odd but I'm glad Shrouded Shepherd is seeing some play. The art is sick as hayl.
@ Boomer moment idk if I can dm you on here so I’ll just post it here: 4 Nurturing Pixie 4 Novice Inspector 4 Warden of the Inner Sky 4 Crawling Chorus 2 Veteran Survivor 4 Resolute Reinforcements 2 Hero of Banalia 4 Moonlight Calvary 2 Virtue of Loyalty 4 Collector’s Cage 4 Sheltered by Ghosts 2 Mishra’s Foundry 20 Plains 4 Aven Interrupter 4 Season of the Burrow 4 Herald of Eternal Dawn 3 Cathar Commando
I saw a G/W more midrange build with elves, pawpatch, sanguine evangelist etc. that might be better. Also thinking you could maybe sideboard to a smugglers surprise game plan with that. Drawing the Calvary sucks so Hero helps with that but isn’t great vs a lot of the black based removal. Evangelist is expensive but might still be good here. Haven’t tested the sideboard much. I had the seasoned burrow something 1 drop in that turns into a 3/2 when you have a token, but wanted more resiliency vs removal so swapped with crawling chorus, they’ve been great.
So the Moxfield list has Hexmage instead of Mockingbird. Did that end up being better? Also, could Victor, Valgavoth's Seneschal be a consideration for this deck, or is he too slow/ambitious?
I liked Hexmage a bit more than Mockingbird as it provides some more early pressure. As far as grindy 3 drops go, if I wanted one I think I'd rather have more Kaitos or Entity Trackers before Victor.
@@d00mwake I'll try it out. I have to use all of my rare wildcards to create these lands since I just came back to the game, but if I remember right, rare lands are among the best things to use wildcards on anyway.
@thehatcaseonyoutube mockingbird also not very good here, sadly. I've found Thad the bird is generally at its best when copying your opponents sheoldred.
@MetalCovers69 the builds don't have any enchantment hate though. Outside ghost there's nothing. And thr build doom played is an old clunky one. Thr deck doesn't play kaito.

This deck just needs one thing. Reprint lurrus into standard you cowards wotc - also could this with lurrus and a better mana base work in something like historic or timeless (if she's legal in either)

I run enduring in my version it comes in clutch so much mid/late game when I’m running out of steam.
@@Noddasheep That's a great idea actually. How many copies do you use?
Looking at my grandmother's dog: "Pippa, what do you think - IS esper pixie the best deck in standard?"
"Woof."

Adding the 3 mana flash creature that draws when an enchantment comes into play is really good in this deck
Entity Tracker?

is the decklist different from the deck you played a bit?
It is, I've played a few different versions and there's a bunch of cards that could be played in the flex slots.
I’ve been playing mono white pixie with collectors cage/calvary package, pretty sweet so far.
list? 👀

Still funny the best bounce your own stuff deck in current Standard isn't a frog deck
What about get out? It can counter and double bounce
double blue in a deck that already has crazy mana issues though?
Does this do alright in BO1?
Probably fine?

any reason for no spiteful hexmage?
One mana 3/2 actually sucks
The card is seriously horrible
You can play it very reasonably over mockingbird

Nashi isn't bad to give a try either but the biggest weakness of this deck is the mana base and auto tapper
I have a love/hate relationship with the autotapper
other than lands.. 8 rares in the main board. very budget friendly for arena!
dour port mage might be nice here.
I think the deck is good but after I had 78% winrate in mythic I started landing mono red and Dimir matchup every game couldn’t hang
I’ve played like 80 games with Esper pixie it is fun
I played this deck and got wrecked by main deck lockdown. It's auto lose when that card resolves.
If you get rid of it you get all the triggers back

This is a good deck but almost feels like clickbait debating if it’s the best deck
🤔
