I'm thinking about buying a 2007 Saab 9-7X 4.2i which has 139,656 miles. Can you tell me what things to look for when I go to test drive it? I only know what you shared in this video about this car. I have owned Toyotas and a Nissan Maxima. Can't find one I can afford right now though.
I just bought the same suv about a month ago, took the roof racks off tinted the front windows and have been looking for the factory 20's to buy.... more details on how you dropped the factory (air bag) rear end pls and thx...
I know this video is at least a year old already but wanted to ask what do you think about a 2008 9-7X around 157k miles? Got a guy who wants to trade it to me and it looks good. Before your video I had no clue it came with a built in air compressor! That’s pretty cool but not sure if it’ll come with the 4.2L
@@CarlosLopez1997 hi Carlos i still have mine and i love it. These a basically everything GM so if you a familiar with the gmt360 platform this will be no different. 4.2 is very reliable and is an engine that will run for many miles if maintenance correctly. my SUV just hit 200k miles and it was still running like a champ but I'm doing some refreshing on it now
My 2007 4.2 just started making a pretty loud thumping/drumming/humming sound when I'm driving. At 30 or 40mph, I also get a metal tinging sound from somewhere (sounds like front driver wheel) I plan on replacing both front wheel hubs, but I'm not sure that will fix the problem. Do you know of any known issues like this? Maybe drive shaft etc.
Looking at this exact model today, all original parts only 170k miles, but concerned on the price of 3200 very weary since the bluebook starts around 5k minimum....what specific issues should I look for on this would you recommend?
if it is a 5.3l watch out for dod issues and the rear air bags usually leak not a huge deal new ones are cheap. the 4l65e transmission is using a weak point make sure its been serviced regularly
To be honest, while I have a soft spot for Saabs, this car seems a lot like the Buick Rainier which was related to this car IMO... Probably both due to the common roots, plus they were both meant to replace the Oldsmobile Bravada.
the rainier shares the same shell as the 9-6x and bravada… the envoy, trailblazer, bravada, ascender and 97x are all built on the same gmt360 platform so they are all essentially the same vehicle
Now that’s a nice and rare tow rig that rips
I just bought a 2006 9-7. I love it so much . Nice video thanks!
Right on!
My dream 9-7 is the Aero! Love your 9-7 with aero wheels. Great video!
Love how it has 2way doors on the back. My Escape has the same exact one.
This is what SAAB shoud be today. 9-3X as well. Lucky owner 😎👍
Love ur truck. I have fastest Saab 0-60 on Dragy. You have my Aero (TBSS) wheels. Your center caps are priceless now.
Just bought a 05 mine came with aero wheels can’t wait to start ripping it
Quick question bro ik this vid old lmao but is it normal with these for the first gear to be a little rough at times?
I have a 2007 97X, is there a way to turn the rear cargo light on separately?
Nice...✌️
Thank you it actually is getting a make over I'll post a video soon

I will make a video and post it on Sunday how's that sound?
Congratulations on the purchase you'll love it!
Displacement on demand is what I thought dod stood for
It is what it stands for, he got it wrong.
Yes sorry my mistake!
I just bought one and I have no idea how to take the roof racks off
Paint the rims black it makes such a difference on the looks
Yes I agree!
Hey I'm about to buy for family travel school work etc are they good trucks
Yes they are I love mine!
Do they have stock air all the way around and if so how did you lower it again?
I used the front drop suspension kit i think from beltech, and rear air suspension just adjusting the sensors
Awesome! I also have a 5.3. Do you know, is there a possibility to get her up on the back like you did it lower?
Yes you can you an adjust it up and down

Also, I like to do my own maintenance in pretty much everything so curious as to how hard it would be to do like some basic maintenance

My glove compartment is broken how do I get into it?

I had a friend that had a similar issue and it was the front diff

My trunk won’t open can u help me please
You need a new latch inside or the arm popped off you should be able to pop off the rear door panel and access it while closed
Night panel on 97 ?
No night panel 😕
Yo the homie is from poky!
Yes sir I am!
Sleeper from hell
Wannabe TBSS! You can’t say it’s nicer than the original Trailblazer
I would never wanna be a TBSS much rather have an aero
I've owned both ( still have the Aero ), the Aero is a little nicer.
It's basically an Oldsmobile Bravada with the LS2 and tuned by Saab.
@@SCHMALLZZZ And Rainier
What are the differences? Idk which one to look for
Cut the dark windows, looks cheap.
Glad to hear your input, Eward
everyone has an opinion and I value them all but I must have tint haha
