Know you're not alone. It is difficult being an observer, but we must do what we have to in order to try and make a change while we're here. No clue when or how it was you reached your understanding, but I am so very thankful that you have. It takes a ridiculous amount of courage that can't even begin to be understood, but every single ounce of it that is needed is so very worth it.
