    Thanks a lot for this guys! Hunter's technique on rolling is the more ergonomic version I've been looking for. Devon's has been what ive used, but I think anyone who uses it will tell you there's a lot more stress on the elbow.

    I wish there was a bag flight cam here so we could see how the bag reacts with the different pitches midair on the way to the board.

    Wait til you are an 8 or 9? Do you mean a consistent 8 or 9 PPR? Isn't that super hard for most of us? Loved the lesson, ... just thinking (sadly) it will be a long time (years) for me to get to that level to start learning how to cut and roll. But I guess you're right... I should spend my time on basics until I master them. Thanks again for the lesson.

      Basics are the foundation. If you can’t throw a consistent 7+ the roll shot is going to be adding a level of complexity to your game that you likely are not ready to deal with. Growth to 7-8ppr doesn’t take too long if you are willing to practice and put in the time.

      If you try to learn these shot before getting good with your straight bag don't be surprised when you can't get your straight bag to line up rite. It will throw your game off.

      I learned the hard way to focus on what's achievable. Yeah I might be able to make a cut or airmail every now and then, but most of the time I go off the board and my partner gets pissed. If there's not a lane into the hole, I'll board it or block behind for damage control. The only exception is if the game is on the line.

      @@Zanthorr First two doubles tournament I did with my dad just a few weeks back and we learned a lot from watching the best ones go at it. I learned a lot of guys take a step in, but I get off-balance if I do that so I have just started practicing everyday for 4 hours to get my form right and I like the set stance but with some elevation in height and I like a flat bag landing.
      We got the s*itty end of the pool play stick too because we got stuck with the top 4 teams who ended up going into the finals (it was double elimination rules).
      In that second tournament, basically mid-way through it, we were down, and I switched stances so my throwing arm and leg were both forward, and I was so much more consistent with my straight release and got a lot more in the hole.
      Again, this time we didn't do good in pool play, but we did go 2-3 and ended up finishing with 45 points total to go into the tournament in the B pool.
      That was tough because we again got matched against the top team in the B Pool and lost to them 21-0 despite me having 5 straight cancelations with the guy I was throwing against. My dad just sucked something bad against the guy he was throwing against.
      Next one I will do much better and I will be more block-based

    THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO, QUESTION- I USE CAT 2'S, 3'S AND MANTIS BAGS. NOT SURE THESE BAGS ARE GOOD FOR THESE STYLE OF THROWS? (Maybe mantis)- BAGS HAVE TO BE CARPET CARPET BAGS TO GET THE CONSISTENCY OF THR CUT SHOTS?

    • @CornholeNetwork
      @CornholeNetwork  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Having a fuller bag with a slower carpet side will definitely help the bag roll, but honestly these guys can probably roll anything.

    • @ryanashby2459
      @ryanashby2459 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel it boils down to throwing the bag with some turbulence so it doesn't land flat and just slide up the board.

    • @erictscherne5255
      @erictscherne5255 ปีที่แล้ว

      The roll and cut are primarily about the angle of the bag. A nose down forward tilt is going to cut hard. The speed at which you throw it will also factor in. The roll shot is going to need back loading unless you want to use a wheel style roll.
