Did you notice that Tim is standing a boat? From comments I read on another reaction, the boat belongs to Chance but it's stored at Tim's brother-in-law's because Chance doesn't have room in his apartment. The comments said that they pulled the boat out & shot the video in the brother-in-law's backyard - with no explanation to the neighbors. LOL! I'd love to be one of their neighbors - imagine all the fun things you'd probably see. Enjoyed your reaction. Can we just for a moment appreciate how good the vocal percussion is? In previous songs we’ve heard him to Harmonica (constant sorrow), and then Cowbell (mayday), and now freaking castanets!! How does a human make such sounds.
Can you just imagine looking out your window and seeing Tim dressed in costume and singing that jaw dropping bass while just standing in a boat? haha.. Beatboxing castanets? wow.. just, wow! Home Free is mind boggling.. even in quarantine and separately .. Thanks!

Austin and Tim were both channeling Captain Jack Sparrow: Austin with his personality and Tim with the costume! Yes! Adam Rupp is a beatboxing and sound effects master! Chance and Rob also did a great job with their lead vocals! Those bass notes from Tim were earth-shattering!! Loved your reaction so, so much!! It was a blast!!

I think that's why I love Tim's bass. He sounds very full all the time, and he enunciates so clearly as well. He hits the same note as some others, and it just sounds deeper!

After hearing Home Free's "Sea Shanty Medley" I couldn't get the music out of my head, especially when driving and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Same holds true for their "Alvira" sung with the Oak Ridge boys. I listen to these 2 songs over and over and over, etc., etc., etc. and just can't sit still.

The note you were looking for near the end of Wellerman was a Bb1, but it was pretty well covered by everything else above it.
If you listen very closely, Tim also dropped down to a Gb1 on the very last note. Hits you right in the soul.
As Kirstie sang in the Daft Punk Medley “there’s nothing wrong with just a little bit of fun.” This was pure fun!!! Way to go girl!
Tim's C2 is the best of the acapella's basses its a thing of beauty
I saw Tim in an pod cast interview and he was asked how low can he go and he said the, "lowest note on the piano." Just an F.Y.I.!

One kind of technical thing I liked is that the tempo increased with each shanty. That shows the thought they put in making it.

Tim Faust has an INCREDIBLE range (bass).
This was a great medley though I can't help wishing they'd do full versions of some of them. Adam doing the beatboxed castanets was awesome. I think sea shanties are great because basically anyone can sing them (though obviously not this well).

Maggie, Tim has blown near-field monitors at concerts! He is a freak of nature!! All in that 2nd octave.
I simply love how excited you get over those bass notes. I have been a Patron of theirs since day #1 and one of the perks at a certain level is Learning Tracks. We get each of the individual tracks to listen to and download. Tim's track on this is unbelievable. I love when he emulates a bass guitar but when he sings words way down there in the basement it is truly something special.

Can’t beat these guys! They are always on point! Enjoy your reactions so much!
Everything on sailing ships back in the day was done by hand and needed sometimes over a hundred men working together as one. Sea shanties grew because is was a way to keep time and also to 'give heart' and distract from what was often backbreaking work. For example on warships such as HMS Victory it required up to 144 men to raise the anchors. Often a 'fiddler' would sit atop the capstan to play a shanty for the men to work along to!
Austin's musical theater background really came through on this one! Loved Tim's bass and Adam's beatboxing, especially the castanets! THey did a great job wrapping it up with clips from each song and taking it back to black and white.
Super funny when you said everyone acting normal but Austin when Tim dressed as a pirate, standing in a boat with a mug .

Austin’s flamboyant exaggerations are what we all love about him. But I want to point out Adam and his rendition of the wood castanets instrument sounds in the Santina portion. They sounded spot on.

Oh, now you have to see their cover of Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up!' If you think Austin was 'extra' in this video... he dials it up to 21 in that one, it's hilarious. They're all hilarious, actually - they pay homage to all the styles and dances in the original video (with Tim also throwing in some iconic 'eighties shapes - he is quite the mover!)

I'm glad I found your reaction to Home Free's Man of Constant Sorrow!! Watching you is kind of like watching some of the Home Free videos. You are as extra and hilarious as Austin seems here when he's in his Captain Jack Sparrow antics and I'm enjoying it (yeah you stop the video a few times more than some people can handle but I'm ok with it lol. You should see how many tabs I always have open on my browser because I seem to have a need to find every video that shows up as I'm watching one (I don't have ADHD I just have a tab addiction hahaha). Your face is so expressive (especially those eyebrows hehe) and I love the way you catch the many nuances of these guys!! I have watched probably hundreds of reaction videos to Home Free (in just a month or so since I found them!), mostly focusing on my favorite songs of theirs. You have reacted to some of them and I was so glad to see you so interested in EVERYTHING!!! Most reactions are just to the song(s) and they catch some of the funny things they do, or the amazing way they sing/beatbox, but even those who are musicians or teach music don't try to find every detail in a video, and they often miss things if they get into the video. But you seem to catch most of the details... even while dancing/groovin/singing along (and doing it very well as you do of course) lol. Even though this video was 2 months ago... I hope you keep reacting to Home Free (and Pentatonix, Peter Hollens, and Voiceplay as well) and reacting hopefully to more of their antics in The Butts Remix, All About that Bass, the Country Fried Pop Medley just to name a few. I hope you do more please of your reactions to any of their other songs funny, happy, sorrowful... just all the emotions they can bring and you can share your reaction to so many more ;)
TLDR: I love how you react to Home Free and Pentatonix... those are the only videos of yours I've seen so far. More please and keep being extra hahaha!!

Love your energy. So much fun watching it with you. Love that you couldn't help singing along. That's the whole point of sea shanties. Do you know Stan Rogers at all? He died quite young, trying to save fellow passengers in a plane crash but he had the most amazing voice, and also does a version of Leave Her, Johnny.

“Santianna” is about GENERAL SANTA ANNA. He was General and Commander of the Mexican Army in both the Texas Revolution (1836-Texas was a Republic from 1836-1845, when it was annexed by the US) AND the Mexican-American War (1848). Santa Anna lost both those conflicts. In spite of his being on the losing side-which meant Mexico lost territory TWICE under his command-Santa Anna was hugely popular with the Mexican people. So much so that he served as Mexican President ELEVEN TIMES. This song actually implies that Santa Anna “gained” the day in 1848, against US General Zachary Taylor (who became US President later on)-but Santa Anna did NOT “gain” the day. That’s where the folklore comes in. Santa Anna was so revered, sailors revised that history-just a bit!

The song, Santiana, is on an album recorded in 1963 by a folk trio called the Highwaymen. I was in high school at that time and they were a favorite group of mine. I know nothing about the funky rasputin thing you were talking about. But I do know the Highwaymen recorded this song before any of you were born. As I am a died in the wool Home Fry, I will always watch any reactor doing the Home Free, Keep them coming Maggie Rene and I will watch you forever.

I loved this! At first I was like sea shanty? What? Then I listened and loved it. Austin and Tim went full pirate mode. Tim’s bass was crazy good. Adam with the castanets was excellent. How does he do that? I only knew one song but this is just so good. Loved your review!
