For the thing you dislike about the GTX handling. It's hard to describe, but what I put it down as in my benchmarking of all driftcars was "keeps forward momentum". With other cars, when you turn in. They actually turn in. With the GTX, given the same amount of angle, it just keeps going where the momentum was taking it. That does mean that you can keep it in very low angle drifts on long mountain roads where other cars really struggle. But it also makes it feel floaty and unresponsive until you get used to it. It's one of those cars that's great to one trick. But it feels horrible to jump into from another car. Also, on my city benchmark track. It actually held the fastest lap time, until I optimized the Remus slightly more to overtake it. But yeah, it feels slow AF. But once you get used to abusing the "keeps forward momentum" part of its odd handling. It can really let you maintain a lot of speed in areas where other cars can't. That is drifting using wiggle boost style on KB though. Its double clutch kind of sucks. So for double clutch spam style, it's probably just slow. The one thing I'll say in defense of the Tampa is that is has by far the best 360s and 270s in the game and among the best reverse drifting. So if you like doing silly tricks, it's an amazing car for that. But if you like leading tandems. It's horrendous, because the rear overhang is simply so long and wide that you cannot tuck around your 2nd on transitions. They have to back off you super hard to make room for that big butt, which makes it just a horrible experience for everyone involved. If it had a shorter rear overhang, it would be one of my favorite cars no doubt. But wheres a lot of cars shortcomings can be avoided with skill or tuning. There's just absolutely nothing that can be done about the Tampa's dumpy.
I loved drifting the Nissan Hakosuka/ Vulcar Warrener. The speed was "meh", but just the way the car looks and the tuning options - just a beauty. It's a shame they deleted it.
I have no idea when they're going to be releasing people usually don't know what Rockstar's plan is when it comes to drip feed but currently the way to get them unreleased is you need to do a glitch to get the cars off of someone!!
