After switching to low graphics settings things became even more clear to see. I forgot to reset these setting when I reinstalled the game. Thanks for the refresher
To be fair. You can definitely see a grafic quality difference between all low and all high-ultra. DLSS has gotten way better with the latesst update, too.
Never use RTSS to cap, 99% of the time it'll just get you more input lag, nothing else. ALWAYS use the ingame cap, if you do. On rare occasions the cap of your driver does the job too, as seen on my end with a 6800 xt capped to 141 in Adrenaline.
The Nvidia Driver section with "Adjust Video Image Settings" is only for video encoding / decoding. The setting "RTX video enhancement" has no impact on gameplay. RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR) upscales videos in browsers like Chrome and Edge.
Pretty useful, but only one thing to recommend you: If you play different games, you can apply your recommended settings only for BF 2042 if you use the other tab (Program Settings) in Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings.
One important thing people dont know in bf2042 is the DX12 is not activated as default, we have to go on file settings and doind manually. Bf2042 allways starts with DirectX11 as default. I win like 30 fps more on my Laptop doind that.
@@theAMD09 Navigate to Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings and open PROFSAVE_profile in a text editor like Notepad++. Set GstRender.Dx12Enabled to 1 and save the file. Make sure BF2042 isn't running. i just wanna add, for anyone with a gsync monitor some of the settings need to be different than what enders has if you plan on actually taking advantage of gsync. for example vsync needs to be enabled in the nvidia control panel in order for gsync to actually work, as well as low latency mode. there are a few other settings that are different as well. just a heads up for anyone using g sync i recommend looking up a gsync specific guide if you dont know how to use gsync or what it actually does. the settings are correct for people who dont use gsync or free sync tho.
Motion blur is for people who can't achieve more than 60 fps. It provides a much better and smoother expierience for those people. Just a heads up... It's definetly useful.
When you have a monitor that is just gsync compatible, you'll want to turn on vsync and gsync in the nvcp, but keep vsync off in game. Having vsync enabled in the nvcp is required for gsync to properly work on a gysnc compatible monitor. It's not the same as turning on vsync in game. If you have a gsync monitor with its own built in gsync module, then it's not needed, but I see you're in the same boat as much with a gsync compatiable monitor. My last monitor was a gsync enabled monitor, so I never had to turn on vsync in the nvcp. Wasn't until I switched to this 240hz freesync & gsync compatible monitor and was confused why I was still getting screen tearing, so after a bit of research I found that out. Definitely worth a try.

There are 2 different videos you can watch for Video Settings btw. The guys went through each and every setting individually and show the visual and performance difference. @@FrankHeffleyOnYT this guy will tell you exactly what is the best performance, DO NOT Change anything in control panel or windows. th-cam.com/video/NfKl3Kg_3oU/w-d-xo.html
You want to avoid setting High Fidelity Objects Amount to low imo if you don't want enemies at a distance to become a slide show. Medium lighting is also recommended to not have insanely blocky shadows. I also play with Texture Quality and Filtering at Ultra, because it's free and looks much better imo.
I put the same settings in the game as you, but in order for my PC to have an acceptable temperature with the same graphics as yours, I had to put the DLSS in balance and limit the FPS to 120 in the Nvidia control panel, I recommend that you activate the DLSS without setting it to quality if you do not have a 4000 series and the most important thing is to delimit the FPS otherwise the game consumes more and more and the temperature is increasing. Deactivate only the DLSS with everything at minimum and fps limited to 120, without the DLSS in balance the temperature of the tower increases 10 degrees.
