Seed Starting Indoors - 4 kids

Want to learn how to plant seeds? In this complete guide my 8 year old teaches us how to gather all of the supplies you need to set your garden starts up for success. She’s planting tomatoes, marigolds, cosmos and basil!
Generally tomatoes should be started indoors 4-6 weeks before planting out (after the last average frost date, and when no frost is coming in the forecast!). If you have a longer season, you can wait a little bit before starting seeds, if you want to.

Steps:
1. Gather your supplies
2. Prepare your labels
3. Prepare your seed cells (or coir/peat pellets, or soil blocks)
4. Plant your seeds
5. Put them in a good place to germinate, and then a well lit place to grow
6. Watch that they stay well watered - not too much and not too little
