Going all in with ten/jack suited is not that crazy! I've won tons with that hand as opposed to Queen/ace, where I've lost almost every time. Probably the worst hand in poker is ace/queen!!

I'm sorry but when you are all in before flop, it's not a donkey play, it's just pure 100% luck regardless of what cards you have. You could have a 2 and a 3 against a K and A, and after all cards are laid and you only see a pair of 2s to win...is not a dumb play, it's just gambling at it's finest, it's luck all the way. You assume you will win because you have the highest two cards on an A and K, but it doesn't guarantee you sh*t. So saying it's a donkey play, you're showing to be a salty boy. Man up and take the loss like a pro.
The dealer can just give you a count if asked. If you keep your chips organized, you probably wouldn't be asked. Either way, your reply wouldn't go over well with many players even if it's technically allowed to not answer or give a smart a** reply.
