@@OFFtheCHIZANEI think Newman did a great job but definitely fell flat, one simply can’t follow up to the great David Arnold with pure success…almost as if Newman was at a disadvantage to begin with! He took creative percussion with some class, but comparing an Arnold and Newman track seems like there is an obvious answer in creativity. Arnold really never riffed his tracks more than once unless it had an overall theme / Que (for example the riff of K.D Lang’s surrender can be heard various times throughout TND, however we don’t here the original track until the credits!
This is the best JB music mix, hands down. It takes you back to the days when it was FUN to go the show for a new movie. Now, hes a cold-blooded assassin 😔
Arnold was a great successor to Barry. He upped the ante with each film he did during Brosnan's run. The slick electronic sound production and higher sense of action became a greater part of his scores. For the most part, to me, he married the new with the traditional pretty well. I think his work here should've been recognized with Oscar nom. For the time, as I remember it, scores like this didn't always work well. But that's just my feeling as musical layman and fan of film scores.
Excellent choices!! Love Arnold's scores, and the first three tracks from TND are my top faves. Just wish that K.D. Lang's recording of the theme song had been the main title.
Yesss - shame they didn't wait for the actual collapse of the Arecibo telescope which happened a few days ago. And Robbie Coltrane's knee really did hurt every day so he has had a knee replacement. Tank chase, Sean Bean, Joe Don Baker, Michael Kitchen, Desmond Llewelyn, Ourumov, Miss Onatopp. Nothing else comes close.
Einer der besten Bond - MiXXXixixixixix! Klasse Visualisierung! Aaaber, EIN Bild fehlt......"Mein LIEBER"!, mit einem "Gruss aus Moskau!". Schicke Timeline-Bild-Hinweis nach.....
Probably because this video is honouring David Arnold, who composed the music in "The world is not enough", "Tomorrow never dies" and "Die another day". Another composer did "Goldeneye"
Aren't you going to make some with older Bondmovies? Bad priority... So much from Tomorrow Never Dies and SO little from The World Is Not Enough....? Wtf...? For instance: - Pipeline - The Bunker ?????
David Arnold's music during this period was just extraordinary. I wish he was still scoring the Bond films.
I know, I thought Zimmer’s latest score was great, but didn’t evoke the same enjoyment as Arnold used to. And Newman’s scores were a bit bland.

David Arnold's music is amazing! Met the guy once, was completely star struck but he came across as very genuine.
He and Barry are the best 007 composers of all-time!
That is so cool!! How did you get the chance to meet David Arnold, you lucky duck! :O
Finally. Something I can download and use as driving music. ...and getaway music. Same thing.
Can we shake hands ??
Not right now you can’t
Be careful.. you right foot may get heavier
In other words the cops should just remain parked outside you house in the morning then?
Merci

He was allways a cold-blooded assassin.
@@jamesireland190 Amen!
@@jamesireland190 But he has style back then.
8:04 gets me every single time...
When Bond's on a roll, whether with cards, or fights
When bond evading shots
The bond music and mixes what they've done with it is something else ..... nothing compares style and action in the same way
You also have to give huge respect and admiration for David Arnold's orchestrator and conductor Nicholas Dodd - the man is a legend!
Best Bond action music ever!!!! Can't thank you enough.
When they weren’t afraid to use the James Bond theme
They hate using it in Craig’s movies

This is some really exciting music to listen to.
This is fantastic! The transition from 9:59 into the Saigon bike chase is MASTERFUL
Brilliant compilation, digging the sounds, wow.
Thank you very much Tomas!!! For this very good excitment of 007 OST.
....When "Backseat Driver" kicks in , I don't care WHAT you're driving, it's going to feel like an Aston Martin.
TWINE is my favorite

I really hope David Arnold will return as composer for James Bond.

Sadly, Robbie Coltrane's knee really did hurt every day from osteoarthritis. So sad that it came true, but he has a knee replacement now.

Zimmer do you hear that? that's how action score is done!
I've seen no time to die and the most disappointing part was the score. Nothing camper to this. And don't get me started with Billy Eilish.
That's quite disappointing of Zimmer considering he's done some great action scores in the past.
7:42 - Independence Day - Song similar scene.
Should be retitled Bronson/Arnold era
