Yes and i love the sound of the air compressor which starts at 03:12. It reminds me to the old S-trains we had i Copenhagen from 1968 to 2007... back when we had real trains. Those also had pneumatic doors and one could clearly hear and feel the air compressor when it started. There must be an air-preassure-tank here because the doors can open and close many times before the compressor starts charging again
Special doors! Are these similair to Schlieren portaflex doors? It's nice to see that this lift is still maintained by OTIS. I guess that the Gen2 callbutton is simply a repair. I've seen some OTIS pre-lexan elevators in V&D department stores in the Netherlands (Leeuwarden, Utrecht and Nijmegen) Which are also pre-lexan. Some of their fixtures where replaced by the current Gen2 ones, wich is to be expected after 40-50 years of heavy usage, however some fixtures where still the original ones. The lifts in Utrecht are very nice. Liftboy nick (channel doesn't exist anymore) had filmed them.
The portaflex doors from Schlieren are made of aluminium and seem to be directly driven by an electric motor. These OTIS doors are a bit different as they are pneumatic and heavier, made of steel. The callbutton is most likely just a repair, yes. I'm not sure if the machinery and controllers are original or not
Yes the doors are indeed pneumatic. We could also hear the compressor sometimes. It's a central-system with just one compressor and air-preassure-tank for the entire elevator installation. Small pipelines in the shaft then supply air to power the automatic doors
So I guess 0 means basement. In Canada our Elevators are floor listed as P for parking LM for Lower Maine for access to the basement M for Main Floor And the rest are numbers 2 to the very top floor 🔔 & ☎️ for emergencies Justin case the elevator stops where it’s not supposed to
Are there only doors that are floor-resident, so no doors on the elevator car itself? Judging by the footage when it moves, it appears there's no door on the elevator car itself but only doors on the floors?
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my girlfriend lately =)
The no cab door arrangement in Europe looks bizarre to Americans, who can not be trusted to stand back and behave. I have traveled all over Europe, and its still a bit of a mindf--k to this day. This installation takes the vertigo effect to new heights.
Electric eyes send a beam across the opening of the door, if the beam is broken the elevator stops, much the same way an American garage door opener works, where if you pass under the door and you trip the sensor, it opens the door back up.
This would be my first step if I visit this city!

That lift is great!
Epic elevator! I like the doors! I hear a hiss from the doors, so I wonder if these are pneumatic doors.

Heritage Elevators ㅛ
That elevator needs inner doors for safety.
Dante Trainmaster you need to shut up for the safety of humanity.

An elevator with compressor! Amazing!!

The doors are pneumatic
Mycket fin hiss, dessa dörrar lär vi aldrig hitta i Norden :P

There is no inner door
It has been lightly modernised with newer call buttons but it still looks really epic
Thanks for the update 😊
Nice doors! :)

Donnerwetter... das gute Stück besitzt unüberhörbar "pfffffffneumatisch" betriebene Rolltüren.... super Fang !!!
Pre-Lexan is an improper term because it can actually be made out of Lexan. The official term is called Black Button.
very nice

How do you get the door on the right to open?

These aren't lexan, they are Otis black pop-out buttons. The lexan buttons are those that has lights around them and are non pop-out
They are made of lexan
Nice elevator. I wanna ride this :)
It's waiting for you in Brugge :)
Heritage Elevators I was there :-(.
Well then what are you waiting for?! RIDE IT!

They had a Otis Gen2 Call Button at the 1st floor?
its not Gen2 ... its a MCS Button ;)
You can’t press the button 3
Be carefuful about pushing wrong buttons or you might end up in back rooms
Some elevators already reminds me of the backrooms in themselves
İ did not see the back rooms.

Yeah he was holdin it up
The door operator needs work. I don't think it was originally designed for elevator use?
I was in Brugge a week and a half ago! WHY DIDN'T I FILM THIS LIFT?!!!?!
Which is also a single-slide elevator.

What is MFR and EIS?
Air compressor at 3:12
It Should have inner doors for safety.
why, it has an electric eye
In America all elevators must have inner doors except for wheelchair lifts.
Electric eyes send a beam across the opening of the door, if the beam is broken the elevator stops, much the same way an American garage door opener works, where if you pass under the door and you trip the sensor, it opens the door back up.

But this is Europe, where there's less stupid people, why add something so unnecessary?
@@Gosh_JoshLots of countries are now requiring inner doors.
