    I'm new and I enjoy your Thai lessons so much :) I'm Indonesian and we also use 'ng' many times, but we don't use tones so that's kind of hard for me to learn and getting used to. Thank you so much, I hope I can learn a lot of from you! 🙏

    It depends on the relationship between you and the person you are speaking to. My brother and I are very close se we use ชั้น - แก; (แก is often paired with ชั้น, not common to use with the other pronoun)
    If I speak to a friend who are not very close to me, I would use เรา rao (I) - nick name of that person (you)
    Personally, I don't like using the pronoun เธอ and it is not commonly used now. : )

    The pronoun "I" for female speaker in written form is ฉัน /chan (rising tone)/, but in today language, it is commonly spelled and pronounced ชั้น /chan (high tone)/. I just prefer to write the way the word pronounced. : )

    What is more common to use, "Maak" or "Ja dtaai" ?

    • @ThaiwithMod
      @ThaiwithMod  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      SuperErmacX "มาก maak" is more common. "จะตาย jà-dtaai" is used only with people you are close to (it might not sound polite to others).

    Hello, Mod! Recently am following you with great interest.
    Thank you for those lessons. In one of them, you and Pear were explaining about รู้ and รู้จัก. Learned that! Can I put a question about the difference between รู้ว่า and รู้จะ.?
    Cheers!

    • @ThaiwithMod
      @ThaiwithMod  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      รู้ว่า = know that...
      I know that the curry is not spicy = ผมรู้ว่าแกงไม่เผ็ด
      รู้จะ... Did you mean รู้จัก ?

We teach one-to-one Thai lessons which we believe it is the most successful formula when learning a language as complex as Thai. We also teach our on-line training via Skype using the same material as my On-Site training, except we do it through the web camera. For further details, please visit my website : learnthai withmod(dot)com or write me at adjima_t@hotmail.com:)
