ERRA is not a band. It is a feeling of hope, happiness, sadness and vulnerability. It isn’t a face or a person. It is an emotion that resonates in my ear and spirit
Their self titled did more than help me through my grandmother's death. This album has helped me cope with the existential terror I had at the beginning of '24
This is the best follow up to the self titled we could’ve asked for. The self titled was a masterpiece but Cure is a worthy follow up that expands on elements of the self titled and does completely different things too. 10/10 again guys!
Words can’t even express how beautiful this masterpiece is. We are lucky that they even decided to share their music with us in this lifetime. Thank you to every band member of ERRA. You guys are all amazing 10/10. Sincerely, forever fan.
love how I can immediately recognize the intro riff was using Archetype Gojira. For the guitar players out there, the settings sound like this: - The wow pedal at 100% and set to Blade 1 (which means the riff is actually played 1 octave lower than how you hear it) - the reverb pedal set to approximately 20% and with shimmer on - as for the amp setup, mess around with the amps and cabs as you see fit, good luck
I've been going through a really hard time over the last two months. Relapsed back into addiction. Hurt people who matter alot to me. Have felt so low and shamefully beaten myself up over it. This track tho.. This fucking track. There are so many parts about it that have brought me back to feeling alive . Given me the desire to keep trying. Given me a reason to fight and push forward. "I sleep alone in a dreamless void Under the gun." "A lonely ghost It's setting in Now that I feel alive when I'm lost" This next part was the most important one for me. It truly speaks to the pain of what addiction is to me. I felt it so hard. "Absence of pulse within the husk A cold sensation Factions proliferate my isolation You're the teeth to break the skin I open the door, I let it in I can't escape what's in the ache To re-emerge from a frail and fractured state" Thank you to whoever has read this far.
Thank You Erra...I was in frustration about my future, due to that frustration music started to go away from me though I am guitar player and singer..But when you uploaded this song, I listened to it and felt a sense of relief and I feel like no matter whatever going through I am, I will always stick with my music...Means A Lot... Music is a powerful tool and a medicine in this soulless period of time.
This is every album culminated into one sick song. JT’s harsher cleans getting front and center to rival Jesse’s angelic voice. Perfection in every sense of the word!!
This album, primarily this song at first, got me back into cleans. Once I ran thru this album again few times I went back thru my old playlist, got back into og Killswitch. This albums fantastic If anyone ever reads this, Howard or Jesse? For me I do love Jesse but man Howard’s cleans are some of the best.
"Call my name and past through the wall a lonely ghost stting in" 🫂(me hugging the ghost asking it to steal a pizza and float it back to me) Good music ERRA God bless you and yours daily ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Songs like this want me to hear the singles in an album context. Like, even songs that didn't vibe the first time are better when associating with shit like this 🤘
@@joshgrimm8443 It definitely sounds like ERRA. Still a progression of the self-titled album, admittedly softer. Sounds a lot like Jesse got his some Ghost Atlas roots in for this album, but this is very much an ERRA album. JT and Jesse are such an integral part of their sound too that I struggle to understand how it could not sound like ERRA
@@RthereNEusernames if you take away the vocals I bet ppl would instantly call this an ERRA album. You can like it or not like it, but there's no denying the loss of the ERRA signature sound in this one. I struggle to understand how besides being labled ERRA and literally hearing the singers voices, that this is ERRA. (maybe beside this song and pale iris)
@@frankhungtw I think if you take away the vocals for a lot of bands they become difficult to identify. I would say there are a lot of elements that sound like ERRA even if it's not the exact same sound as the self-titled album or previous riffy albums.

I could cry . Exactly . 4 seasons of time for sure
absolutely
You get it🥹😭
Yes. These are the words for my emotions I couldn’t place. It must be why I connected so quickly with Erra years ago.

This whole album hits but End to Excess is on a whole other level. That chorus bro, god damn!

The wow pedal? Do you mean wah?
@@RetiredRobot no that's what it's called in both the plugin and in its controller name via MIDI
@@MrIblowUpRandomstuff sorry for the mix up.
maybe it’s just my mood, but I very much dislike that name, as it doesn’t tell you what the effect is
Recognized it right away as well
The drumming on this song is sublime.
The drumming on this whole album is another level from Alex. Dudes back has to hurt from this 1

same brah working on my own music again
I might need a few more listens before sealing my top songs, but this one caught me the most and is currently my favorite!
This song, album, band is amazing. All I want is more music by ERRA.
God I love that beginning melody 0:27
Jesse's vision on this album is incredible and breathtaking.
I seen it live in Australia 2 months ago new fav band
how is it possible to have so many favorite songs on one album??!!!
so facts, this album goes incredibly hard
I don't know, I feel the same way
my favorite song on the album. Just incredible.
3:04 holy shit that vocal melody is cool in that part. Best song on the album tbh
Jesus that bass guitar shook my fillings loose.
The chorus gives be goosebumps every time. What a beautiful song, fucking love this band so much!
That chorus is top level
For me, its that riff that hits at 1:51. Absolutely love how the song built up to that riff, it just hits the spot for me.
This is every album culminated into one sick song. JT’s harsher cleans getting front and center to rival Jesse’s angelic voice. Perfection in every sense of the word!!
My favorite song off of the new record!
3:35 what a way to end a song. Absolutelly neck-breaking.
F@ck yeah!
😤
The riff at 2:16 is so underrated
this album and my heart collide as one
This album and my soul💚
END TO EXCESS breakdown hits me special
This whole album was a 20/10. Im literally crying while typing and listening to this.
Fav song on the album hands down

This just like the self titled is a no-skip album. Only one must've been Drift just bc of the production.
Top 3 songs for me 🤘🏻 (Rumor of Light, End to Excess, Idle Wild)
With you here, but mine's in this order: End > Rumor > Idle
Roseland Theater OR MAY 18TH LETS FUCKING GO !🔥🎸 CANT WAIT🤘

Meh, still can't really stand the singing. Especially the excessive belting in one or similar notes, at those high pitches. Just not a fan
