My favorite RL piece is a nipped in waist brown velvet vest perfect this year. I also have a vintage brown blazer and dyed to match brown sweater. Nearly all my RL pieces were purchased vintage about a dozen for fall/winter.
I'm so envious. About the only contact I've ever had in person with anything RL is my brother-in-law's clothes, but he works in Washington, DC. I live in a tiny town in the midwest. Except for a couple of sweaters that I bought on ebay! They aren't the top of the line RL, though. I crave some of their suiting pieces.
@edennis8578 Do you have any vintage stores near you? Vintage stores in cities often get these items. The styles will be older usually. BUT RL never goes out of style for long. I dress for my body not what is "in". For me this is usually shorter jackets with waist definition since I'm 5ft 4in and short waisted petite. I focus on blazers and jackets as one of these really elevates less expensive pants, slacks and skirts. I dress high/low most of the time and wear many of my RL jackets with casual slacks and jeans. The things I buy are often VERY OUT OF STYLE when I buy them, but MY style is my own. Im not trying to fit in. RL jackets and blazers will last forever. I dont mind being contrarian. In fact, I WANT to look unique. For city wear I combine these with new Ann Taylor pieces bought on sale end of season, shirts and slacks, as these are similar styling. I wear Boho too, esp. skirts. I especially love my RL boho pieces, but these are for where I live in the tropics abroad. The blazers and Ann Taylor pieces are for Chicago where I own a condo and live part of the year to enjoy city cultural life (the co domis rented to college students during the school year) . If you buy just one RL blazer you will have it amd love it forever.
Любимый стиль RL - красота в лаконичном!!! Спасибо за подборку!!!❤❤❤
