Me, too, though those ones seem like they have a *lot* of rear overhang and weight of glass there. (Crowns in general seem bigger than they'd need to be. I'd like the Altezza wagon, though, whatever they were called.) Definitely my Volvo wagon in the wet doesn't want a ton of angle in the wet unless I'm really shedding speed to make a corner, ...which mostly happens in bad conditions, rather than me out to have that kind of fun deliberately. Also forget about drifting in the dry in this motor's case. :)
You can probably play with suspension and alignment to make it behave like a sedan or adapt your driving style around it. After a lot of trial and error, money, time and knowledge, I'm sure you can make it work and it'll be fun too! (for the most part lol)

Another thing to consider with Crowns is that they are relatively affordable compared to a lot of the 'Go To' drift chassis and this will only get worse with time as well.
Would be cool to see the Crown Wagon compared with Stagea, I've heard some drivers buy and make RWD Stageas specifically for the purpose of drifting something unique
Totally different cars. I have a WGNC34 RS Four V and a good buddy of mine has a JZS171W Athlete V and everything, from the response to the handling, totally different. Stagea feels like a bigger Skyline.
Maaan this is so fun to watch. Now i wish i'd live in Japan and had a friend/s that go drifting with me. I also wish i could drift and had a driftcar ... :P Well im 20, things can still change away from this boring life. Until then i gotta go back to drifting in Forza
I actually love rear heavy cars, they keep speed better in tight turns instead of dropping to crabwalk instantly, and teach how to save in tough situations! I'd easily grab one of these for daily/drift.

Alexi fyi arms from jzx100 or altezza will both work, as will coilovers from is200/altezza on 17 series crowns. Currently running some is200 coilovers in my 171 sedan as they’re easier to find in Australia than crown parts!
Wagon/sedan isnt sometimrs decieving when it comes to rear weight/balance. A popular winterbeater over here in sweden is actually lighter in the rear as a wagon 👌
Love my wagons. Was looking at getting one of these in Aus but (last time I checked) they are about 10k plus whatever to convert to manual plus hard to find parts, so ended up just getting a locally built machine. Have always preferred the longer wheelbase for drifting. It's very smooth and stable. Easier to hold an angle at the expense of slower transitions.

Fell in love with the Crown while I studied in Hongkong where they use them as taxi’s. Its an older version but what a car.
