    Hey there. I discovered Just For Men hair dye for the brows. It comes in a tube already mixed. I paint it on wait ten minutes and wash the extra off. Seriously fantastic. Pick a lighter color than you want because it colors all those little hairs you mentioned. You're set for about six weeks and the tube will last you years. Super, super cheap.

    Extremely useful tips that we can incorporate into our routine on a daily basis. I loved your “twin” popping up to demonstrate what we shouldn’t do!! Cute!
    I adore that Kitten highlighter. It is so silky. That was a great idea about blending in the Halo foundation to create a more glowing look. I am definitely going to try that.

    I’m on the fence with a couple of tips. I think you look prettier in the photo on the left, but lose the heavy lip liner and soften the brows which I think was a trend with kids. Some color just makes you look prettier than the nudes.

      Hi Diana, glad you enjoyed the video. Do you like the look of eyeliner but just where it? Most eyeshadows can be applied with a damp makeup brush (I dampen it with e.l.f. setting spray) for a darker color that wears like an eyeliner. If you don't want it darker, apply with a dry makeup brush. Does that help?

    Thanks Jodi! I know this will be helpful to so many. I have to say though that I think you would look great with some shimmer on your lids. You don’t have wrinkled eyelids, so why not? I wear mine and I always get nice compliments. I’m not talking about how the young girls do it 😂 I’ve never been a trending type person. I just do me! You are on point for us mature women though.

      Hi Lisa, thanks for asking about my finger. I decided I didn't need the big brace to do videos so I just take it off and on lol. It's definitely feeling better. I will dab a little shimmer on my eyelids on the inner corner from time to time. Don't let all the lighting in my makeup room fool you, I have some wrinkles on my eyelids lol. I use the PUR eyebrow pencil and love it. You can find it at Ulta and sometimes Amazon. The colors are limited, I wear medium, and it's probably a tad dark.

    Thanks for the detailed instruction Jodi! What I find when watching tutorials is that there is an assumption that we all know how to apply makeup and there are many steps some youtubers leave out or cut for time. I think that those are essential to learn how to up your makeup application game. When you do foundation videos could you let us know what to expect it to actually look like in real life. I have tried some foundations and they look awful from the moment I put them on. I am wondering if I am not using enough? The only primer I find useful for me is NYX Marshmallow and Milk gripper which does cover my pores and the foundation can sit on the skin and not break apart. However I just don't know if I am doing it right. Is there a need for the foundation to almost like stay together and not separate? I don't know if I am explaining it right. I love the way you give instructions because you give the "why" you are doing the steps and what to expect when you do those steps. Thank you!

      Hi Elly, let me see if I can help. Just a few questions to narrow things down: 1) what type of skin do you have, combo, oily or dry? 2) what foundation do you use? 3) what are you putting on before your foundation?

      @JodiMannes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny you mention that. I was just talking with a friend who wanted to get micro-blading on her eyebrows. I'm not sure I would do that at this age because in a few years your eyebrows are going to be lower on your face and if they're micro-needled on, you can't pencil them any higher. The things we have to think about, but like you said, good problems to have considering the alternative.

    Fabulous tips for fair skinned blondes. But for the fair skinned with stronger &/or brighter hair color, the face will fade into ‘nakedness’
    Even in my younger years as a hair model, the artist would apply my makeup whilst my hair was covered. When the stylist let down the tresses, the makeup faded in contrast.
    I love the nude look of makeup but it simply must be altered for darker, brighter hair color, particularly auburn or red.
