That's one thing you got up on me guys is that park in Beleville, KS. It's only an hour maybe an hour 20 minutes from me and I've never been there. I've been to Concordia, KS a lot because I have friends that live there and Beleville is only 20 minutes from there.
@@rvamericayall I definitely will. Mom and dad likes to get out and go for rides once in a while so I think I might drive them over there and take a peek. :)
I knew JBRV would be your #1. It is definitely a great park. We love it too. Tyler State Park is really a beautiful little state park, also. We lived very near it so spent quite a bit of time there over the years. If you’re into Hot Springs AR, Gulpha Gorge campground is a very nice small national park campground. We parked right beside a small creek with rushing water. Loved it. It’s also a fun hike across the “mountain” to downtown Hot Springs. And lastly, Beavers Bend is one park that has left me with many memories. It’s beautiful and was not too far away for a quick weekend getaway for us. I should also mention Queen Wilhelmina in AR. Gorgeous views.
Thanks for the suggestions Walter! We look forward to exploring more of Arkansas. We loved our stay at Village Creek SP there several years ago. The fall foliage was beautiful!
Hi Tom and Stacie, This was a great video ! Many great suggestions.. Very helpful.. I can always see the efforts you guys put in these videos. Thank you again nice people, keep up the good work and thanks for helping me enjoy my time watching your travels, I finally got to your website, another great source of information... Peace friends. don
Lots of ideas for places to stay, thanks for posting. Were staying @ Gulf Waters in Port Aransas for Christmas via San Angelo state park for 1 nite each way. Happy Holidays.
Last month our FMCA club went to Grand Encore Park in Natchitoche, LA. Best park club has been to. Only 2 years old, so much to do in the area. The Christmas lights where on along Cane River Lake. The park with the best views was the Badlands NP and Tunnel Mountain in Banff. Also Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock SP.
Good Afternoon Y'all ☕️! I know I'm late but we made it 😂! It's nice to get the inside pro "best of" year-end reviews! We just got back from a week in Arkansas which was beautiful but can tell winter is coming.😂 Thanks again and safe travels ☕️
@@rvamericayall You Bet! We got there on the tail end of the color change by 2 weeks I'd say, but it was beautiful just the same where we stayed just north of the Hot Springs/Brady Mountain area!
Hey guys, great video we will definitely be checking out some of these parks. If you ever get to the west coast one of our all time favorite parks is Sea & Sand RV Park in Depoe, OR They have terraced the ocean side of the park and you back your MH in and have a unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean, it’s pretty amazing.
Tom, do you know where Alvin, Tx is? It's not far from Galveston if I remember correctly. I've got friends I went to Bible College with that lives in Alvin.
Yes. Galveston Island State Park currently has a few electric and water sites on the bay side of the park. The entire beach side (which also has electric and water sites) is currently closed for renovations. Here’s our video on the state park: th-cam.com/video/3yrTkFjhMLM/w-d-xo.html
Mountain Home RV Park in Mountain Home IDAHO. Easy pull through sites. Very friendly and helpful. Each site has own little area to set outside at the table
Out of all the places you went to/in 2019: National Parks, state parks, etc. How many of them would you have not been able to go to with your "old" 36ft RV that you mentioned in previous videos? And of those places that you couldn't have made it in, was there a place close by that a 36ft RV could stay at - and use the towed vehicle to see the sites? As you might be able to tell, we are in the begining planning stage (aka picking out the best RV for us- phase).
Great question Arnie! We definitely would have been more limited in our options with our 35' motorhome. I'm not sure that we could have fit into the Doris Campground in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. Camping inside Yellowstone NP would have been iffy (although they are completely redoing the Fishing Bridge Campground which will open the door for larger rigs in 2021 or so). There were a few campsites in Theodore Roosevelt NP that we could have fit into, but with the first come, 1st serve setup we would have been worried. Plus some of their turns are a bit tight and there are a lot of trees right next to the road in the campgrounds. There are RV parks outside of Yellowstone, there is an RV Park in Medora outside of the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt, and there are some RV parks in the nearby communities for the Wichita Mountains. So there are definitely options for staying and driving in. But for us, we really enjoy waking up inside the parks and seeing the animals at our campsite (elk walked through our site several times in Yellowstone, for example). Our general advice is to go as small as you realistically think you will be comfortable with if you think you will want to camp inside some of the National Parks. The smaller you are, the more campsite options you will have.
Great video. Love hearing about y'alls favorite places. I was so glad to get to meet y'all in 2019 in Galveston at Galveston Island Brewing. Hope to get to see y'all again soon and visit some more.
I've been watching you best of 2019 camping videos. One of the things I found a little frustrating is the discussion of certain places with only a little bit of supporting video. Once you capture the viewer's interest, you need to show more supporting video to match the interesting discussion. You can still narrate your discussion in the background while showing the video footage. This, of course, takes some planning since... if you don't have the video footage to show to begin with, then it's really hard the demonstrate what your explaining using the video media. So when you see something interesting that you know you want to share, make sure you video document it so that you can demonstrate your interest to share. Most of the time you succeeded but there are enough times where there wasn't enough supporting video that I found I wanted to see what you were explaining. Hope that helps in the future. Gord
Hey Gord. Thanks for the feedback. We agree that it would have been good to have more "B-roll" on some of these videos. When we filmed the Best of 2019 series, we were still in the process of wading through the hours of video we had collected on some of the places. Thanks for the reminder to go back and at least link to the videos we've published since then.
@@rvamericayall I saw the links you included and went back to get filled in. I guess I'm spoiled by Marc' Guido's organization. He pours hours into his post productions. I think he even catalogues highlights of every trip so that he can quickly locate and plug that clip into another production. Nevertheless, he doesn't go as deep into the details of his experience like you guys do. When you go that deep it's so nice to see the excerpt of what your talking about. But... yeah, with too much uncatalogued video footage, it can be very daunting and time consuming to locate a specific piece of footage. Doing this full time is a real job. Gord

Welcome Ronald and THANK YOU for your service. There are a lot of factors that effect budget. F11 Top coat how long the first coat last and how do you apply the system.
We haven’t used F11, Robert. We met an RVer who sells it in Minot ND, but we bought LED lights from him, not F11.
