Supreme Court Fine the Wife 5 Lakhs Under Section 498A
498A IPC: Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) is designed to protect wives from cruelty and harassment by their husbands and in-laws.
Misuse: However, in some cases, this law is misused to harass the husband and his family.
Supreme Court Judgement: On a recent date (April 19, 2024), the Supreme Court imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh in one such case of 498a.
Case Details:
In this case, the wife's father filed multiple false cases under Section 498A against the husband and his family in different locations.
The Supreme Court found these cases to be false and malicious, intended to harass the husband and his family.
The Court Stated: "This is misuse of 498A and weakens the legal system."

सर एक केस में 3 आरोपी रहे 397 रिवीजन में 1 ही बचा इस आदेश को हुए 6 माह हो चुके है, समय निकल गया तो क्या हाई कोर्ट में 482 में यह आदेश चैलेंज होगा क्या इसमें स्टे मिल सकता।

Patni Rajasthan se hai aur ladka Gujarat se hai tou patni jhoota case kahan kar sakti hai pati k uper Gujarat se ya Rajasthan se? Patni ko apne myke Rajasthan gae ko 15 mahine ho gae aur sharu se hi 498 125 aur dv case ki dhamkiyan de rahi thi.

Chal raha tha.muje ise beech brain stroke ka attaiik pad gaya aur paralsis ke karan body ke right side me kharabi aagaya. Ise beech west bengal se Police aagati . Muje ghar se bhagna pada. 125 ke khilaph 127 ka case dayar krna pada. 2 sal se kuch ho nhi raha hai.please uchit margdarsan krain.

Asking to Divorce first and than agree to support to close / queshing 498a package cases in Court.
