They're singing in the cold-hear the thunder?- wearing coats in that empty Church house. And we can't even get up and go to Church. God bless you, Father Seraphim, and all your faithful parishioners, in Christ's name.
Salam to everyone 🖐🏻 I am Muslim from Azerbaijan. This is very soothing. The chant is beautiful and i think they performed perfectly. Maybe it wouldn't be so good if someone else performed it. Bravo 👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇿♥️🇬🇪 🤲🏻
Owen King - TasBougas is right. One can think of the Judeo-Christian religious tradition as mankind's greatest wisdom project. Your statement seems to suggest a foundational approach like "Since God is too big for me to understand, I will not try." (I hope I'm wrong!) Regardless, I recommend pursuing whatever understanding you can grasp. I just started watching (only about 10 minutes) this video this morning, and it seems to provide a nice explanation about our journey to wisdom: th-cam.com/video/EbamU4A3Qk8/w-d-xo.html You don't need to worry about who St Teresa was, or the particulars of the castle/mansion business they're talking about, but recognize how God is not "little bunny Fufu" who scoops us fieldmice up & bonks us on the head. We must attend to God to know him better. I say these things as an ex 40-year atheist whose attitude was embodied in Stephen Crane's quotation : _A man said to the universe, "Sir, I exist!"_ _"However," replied the universe, "That does not create in me a sense of obligation."_ Best wishes! p.s. The "little bunny Fufu" analogy is my own creation. I have never found this analogy in a creditable theology text.
Christ is present IN YOU, in YOUR sacred body, HIS Creation .. we do not have to look outside or far away, just turn our attention and spirit into ourselves ... May God bless everyone who understands this and sees his fellow men as if they were themselves ..... Amen.
Take note that the Trisagion hymn sounds different in the Byzantine Greek. I do not know enough about music to be able to tell if this Aramaic version is listed here... but you can have a look : ww1.antiochian.org/taxonomy/term/823

Sometimes I’m very proud to be Aramean and know many many prayers in the language of Jesus
“Who can hide in secret places
so that I cannot see them?”
declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?”
declares the Lord.”
Jeremiah 23:24

Beautiful. Thank you.
I am not a believer in a religious god, but I do believe in God being so far beyond our understanding, this is so moving and beautiful.

God is beyond all human comprehension and logic, but He is made known to us through Christ, that is what makes it special.

You should read saint Augustine’s confessions as well as the gospel of John and some saint Thomas aquinas

Бесноватый мне кажется этот монах, глаза быстро бегают в разные стороны, строит из себя святого, горбится, голос не искренний итд.
