Your intro was spot on! I love watching videos about theme parks to get to know them better before visiting 😄 Thanks a lot for the great video! I appreciate it
Really helpful video. There was lots of stuff in here that we haven't seen on other videos. We are going to DC for the first time in May. Can't wait. Thanks for sharing this 👍
Awesome video! I am the same way, I spend days worth of hours watching videos before going anywhere. I didn't know that basic alcoholic drinks were included, I thought you had to either purchase them, or have the drink package
So for the aviary I should go back and get into another wetsuit if I don’t have one on ? Do you think I would be ok wearing a full sleeve full leg wetsuit the whole day from the time I put it on till time to leave without pulling half of it off and walking around with the top half off? Do they have actual thick foam Life jackets instead of the noodles for adults for the lazy river, dolphin experience snorkeling etc
Bdndogs you don’t need a wetsuit at all to enter the aviary. We just found it handy in case of a bird dropping. We never did get “dropped” on though. As far as a full suit I just find them uncomfortable in general. They are nice to have on when it’s cold outside and in the cold water snorkel pool. If it’s a hot day you may be more comfortable in just the vest. Yes they do have thick full life vests and not just the noodles.
Yes, you can bring and use your own underwater camera. You can use it in all areas I believe except for the dolphin swim if you are doing that experience. They take pictures for you with the dolphins for an up-charge and for the safety of the dolphins. Have a great trip 🤩
thanks for the video! I've been here about 10 years ago and remember some hot water showers near the chair areas (not the actual showers in the bathrooms). Do you remember if there are a lot of these little showers throughout the park?
This will be my first trip to Orlando and Florida. Wondering what things are not to be missed at all the parks and where the best area is to stay in Orlando if you want to rent a house? thanks!
Yay a first trip, that is exciting. I have never rented a house but from others I have talked to the closer to the parks the better. Traffic to get the parks can be a pain so the shorter distance you have to travel the better. This is also if you are a parks and attractions person and that is what your trip is all about. For example if you want more beach or golf/adventure with a couple park days mixed in then staying further outside the main tourist area may be a better choice. Over all I see it all the time, you just have to go and scope it out and see what you like because I guarantee you will be planning your next trip before this one is over. As far as what not to miss in the parks I could list things for days but here are a few things from my list. Magic Kingdom - all the mountain rides (including mine train if you can get a fast pass) not worth a long wait imo. Haunted Mansion, ride the People Mover, get your free deck of game cards from the fire station, get ice cream from the plaza ice cream shop on main st. (The peanut butter sauce is amazing) and catch the Wishes fireworks. Epcot - Spaceship Earth, Test Track, Soarin, Club Cool, and take some time to look in every place you can around world showcase. It doesn’t look like there is much in each country but walk in and you will find a lot of hidden shops and things. I still find new one till this day. Hollywood Studios - Toy Story Land (all the rides are good but if I had to pick one it would be Toy Story Mania. I’m going to assume you are going before Galaxy’s Edge opens so omitting that. Star Tours is fun, it’s getting old but I love the Muppet Vision movie. Tower of Terror is my fav ride but if you like coasters do Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Try a cookie num nums or key lime pie on a stick in the Pixar area. Animal Kingdom - Flights of Passage is the best ride in all the parks right now imo. Also be sure to do the Safari ride. Dinosaur ride is fun and really check out all the food offerings, a lot of favs at this park. Don’t leave out Disney Springs. Be sure to download the my Disney experience app. Use mobile ordering to get a jump ahead of crowds. Also download Disney Play app if you like gaming a bit while in the park. I’ll leave it at just the Disney parks for now. If you want suggestions for another park in particular just let me know.
@@notenufwow thanks so much! We will be going to Universal Studios as well so any tips would be great. I heard you can get wicked deals for Disneyworld (like $300 for 3 nights hotel, park passes, fast pass) but not sure if that's true or where to get them - any help would be great.
S Doo legit deals for Disney World are fairly slim. You can check out their special offers page to see what they are offering. Anything else that seems to good to be true is either a scam or involves a timeshare sales pitch. Universal Studios - Rip, Ride, Rockit Coaster, Escape from Gingotts, Fast and Furious, Revenge of the Mummy, Williams of Hollywood store for park used props etc., and Transformers. You really can’t go wrong with all the rides there and you can probably get on all of them if you spend the whole day there. Oh and get a big donut from Lard Lads in the Simpsons area. Get it direct from the little truck thing where his big statue is. They sell them in the stores but they never seem as fresh. Islands of Adventure - Hulk Coaster, Spider man ride, Forbidden Journey, Skull Island, and the Forbidden Forest if it’s open when you go (opening June 13 but sometimes they do soft openings before then). The water rides are fun but you get soaked on theirs. We usually change into something we don’t mind getting wet in and hit all three. Then change back into dry clothes. City Walk - Red Oven Pizza Bakery is great, a more formal sit down dinner is good at Cowfish or Antojitos. If all the restaurants are crazy busy head over to one of the resorts, it’s usually quieter at their restaurants in comparison. They have buses to some resorts and a boat to others that use can use to get to your resort of choice. Check out the store P!Q and visit Voo Doo Donuts. If you get a park to park ticket be sure the ride the hogwarts express train. They sell Express Pass to get front of the line. If you can afford it and it’s busy it’s worth it but I would feel out the park first. You can use single rider lines to save time or check in with an Express Pass kiosk later in the day. I think they lower the cost for the last few hours of the day. If you have time to add in a water park, Volcano Bay is the newest in the area and would be my first pick out of all the water parks. I do have a soft spot for Typhoon Lagoon though. 😎
You do have a few days to book the day you want to go but not many. Last year the email about the sale came out on Nov 16, black Friday was on the 23, and you had to book your day by Nov 26. How far out you could book I'm not sure. Also I think they allow one date change but that could be for full price tickets so you will want to confirm with the park.
The water varies depending where you are. If compared to a traditional water park I would say Discovery Cove has more deeper water spots. However they do provide life jackets and pool noodle type floats so you can double up to feel safe to float around.
Was picture with the dolphins included in the dolphin swim packages? I’m going to discovery cove for the first time with my mom this August. We’ll both be newcomers to all the excitement
Exciting news that you are going soon. I hope you have a great day. They take pictures and video I believe and it is not included. As in most tourist type attractions they charge for photos and it’s always expensive to boot. They don’t allow cameras in the water while on the dolphin swim for this reason. The only compromise is to have someone on the beach taking pictures for you. However they won’t get as good of a close up as the photographer in the water. I would budget around $100 at least for the pictures if you think it’s something you will want to invest in. Also I’m pretty sure you can view the pictures in their photo centre before deciding to buy.
Do you know if the shark swim come with general admission or do you need to buy general admission alongside the upgrade? Thanks in advance for any help
The shark swim is extra on top of general admission. You can see the sharks behind glass from the snorkel pool but if you want to get in with them it’s an extra cost. It’s not cheap but they do provide a guide that offers an experience with information etc. However I would watch videos of people doing it to see if it’s worth it for you. Sharks are not as entertaining as the dolphins but if an animal you really like it could be worth it.
It’s an off brand go pro type camera. I wanted to try something cheaper before investing in something more pricey. The camera was great but the batteries barely last 20-30mins so that part was frustrating.
Hello Deana, you can find the photo package prices on their website. discoverycove.com/orlando/upgrades/photo-package/ Two things to note: 1) You can save a little if you purchase the photo package before your visit. 2) You can not take a camera in with you while with the dolphins (for their safety) but if you have someone to take pictures from the beach that is allowed.
Thank you for this video. We have been going to Orlando on n off since 1992 but discovery cove will be our only time this may 2020. Can you tell me can you purchase photos of the dolphin swim separately or do you need to buy a package deal, we are going to do the seaventure I believe you can use a camera for that do you know what that cost. Just trying to decide the best way to get our pictures, especially when we are in the water together. Again thanks it’s nice to see the swimsuits even if I’m worried I will need the toilet half way in the park
Alison Jordan Thank you for watching 😊 it’s exciting to hear you are giving it a try. For the Dolphin swim, if you want pictures you do have to buy a package. I believe the smallest package is $99 for 4 photos. Then the package options and prices increase from there. Seaventure starts at $59 but depends on the day you are going. They do allow you to bring your own underwater camera on this adventure. Cameras/phones/recording devices are allowed pretty much everywhere except for the Dolphin swim and Shark swim. This is all due to the possibility of the animals being injured by a park guests equipment.
Hello Debbie, I think there was a discounted upgraded package that included the dolphins, we just didn't want that option. I just got and email from Discovery Cove on Friday, they are celebrating their birthday and offering an admission for $179 (reg. $199) that includes the dolphin swim. The deal looks to be on until July 31 for admissions from Aug-Feb. Not sure this link will work but worth a shot. discoverycove.com/orlando/special-offers/birthday-offer
Not at all in my opinion but I am from Canada so Florida November weather is still really warm to me. Plus you wear a wetsuit that is provided and that will keep you warm if needed.
I enjoyed your video. We live in Orlando but we are surprising our son and grandson with discovery cove. I don't know how to swim but I love the lazy river. Is it safe for me to try it?
Hello Maritza, thank you for watching. I feel like I'm in Orlando today, here in Toronto it feels like 97 today, sure wish I was at discovery cove now. To help you decide I offer you this....I would try the smaller in over all length "inner" lazy river first where you see the signs for the marmosets and otters. This will get your confidence up before trying the bigger river on the outside. Also at every point in both rivers where it gets deeper they have a lifeguard stationed right in the water which was nice to see. The guards were not just walking back an forth on the edge like some other water parks. There are racks of life jackets that you can help yourself to on top of the pool noodle type floats located at most entrances into the water. Double up to feel extra safe if you like. It's a top notch experience and I'm sure you will have a great day.
I have some questions. I've read lots of reviews about this place that said they overcrowded the park so everyone's on top of one another. It doesn't look that crowded in your video. What time of day/day of the week/month did you go?
I didn’t experience that at all. The park was not full, always had space, no major lines. The whole reasoning for this park is that they limit the number guests allowed each day. You have to book the day you are attending. I went on March 5, 2018 (Monday). There was no particular time, spent open to close there. I wonder if the reviews you are reading are for their other park Aquatica. It is Sea World’s other water park that will let in lots of guests.
I was wondering. Do you know if they offer black Friday deals every year? I am going to Orlando in December and I wonder if I should wait for black Friday before I purchase a package. Where do you sign up to get the deal? Thank you for the video!!!
Hello Cheryl, all I know is that they did Black Friday sales aka Blue Friday in 2016 and 2017. So I'm thinking there is a good chance it will happen again in 2018. I would wait for the sale but keep in mind that the date you want may get booked up. If you can be flexible on which date you can go in say a week long vacation you should be fine. You can always go on the Discovery Cove website and mock up a ticket order leading up to the sale. This will allow you to see if December dates are starting to sell out early. Like anything in the area the closer to Christmas the higher the demand. The promo email came out Nov 21 last year just as a reference. Have a great tip :) You can sign up here seaworld.com/orlando/sign-up-for-email/
@@westtoeastadventures6045 I haven't seen anything yet. Last year the email came out only 2 days before the sale so there is still hope :) Thank you for the reminder, it helps when our Canadian Thanksgiving has long been over.
Steph2009 hello, I think their offerings have changed since I was there. I have seen them offering the full drink package to entice people back to the park. The standard was beer (sorry I don’t recall the exact brands) wine, and two frozen pre-mixed cocktails. Then the upgrade was more geared towards bar rail type mixed drinks. The water depth was varied all over. For the most part I would say deep but they have life jackets and floats to use complimentary. I really enjoyed the deeper lazy river areas, it was nice to float more vertical and not hit your legs or feet like other water parks.
Yes appropriate bathing suits are required. In almost all the waterways a wetsuit or vest are required. The vest will easily go over any bathing suit but I recommend for the wetsuit to wear a bathing suit underneath that is tighter fitting to the body so it doesn’t get bunched up underneath. A full wetsuit is only required for sea venture I believe otherwise it’s your choice. As in you may want to wear a full wetsuit to be warm in the colder water area.
I saw in a promo video someone actually swimming with otters. in your video you said they are behind a glass.. Do you have the option to swim with otters?
That would be awesome but they don't let you into the enclosure. Either some underwater camera work from behind the glass looked like you get close or it was a trainer in the enclosure with the otters.
Base admission does not include the dolphins, there is a next step up ticket tier for that. I assume they offer it this way so people who don’t want to swim with the dolphins can still enjoy the rest of the park at a lower price. They just had a Black Friday deal that discounted the dolphin tickets. Keep an eye out as they may do it again on Boxing Day.
notenufwow I thought so! You don’t happened to know how much it is or where I could find out? Can only see info on the actual tickets to get in not extra ones
Gee Nix it starts at $49 each and is considered an upgrade to your admission. The only way to find out the exact cost is to go to their website and pretend to buy an admission ticket and the seaventure upgrade. The price is dictated by the date you want to go. It also shows if there are only a few spots left etc. because they only have so many spots per day.
We had a great time, I'm looking forward to going back one day. I don't think it ever gets crowded compared to other parks. They limit the number of people allowed in each day. I would describe it as basic alcohol (beer, wine, 2 types of pre-mixed cocktails) included but you could upgrade to more premium options for an extra charge. This gets you things like bar rail type drinks (rum and coke for example) or Sangria or a Mojito. As much as I enjoy the upgraded offerings the included choices kept us happy too so we didn't bother. I think it depends on your taste mostly but if you just want a cool tropical drink to be in the sun with you are all set.
I wore my clothes to the park so that I was comfortable eating breakfast but I seen others come in just their suite and a cover up. Seems to be more a personal preference than anything. I wore a bikini under the full body wetsuit because anything more is doable but cumbersome. Some wear nothing but I wouldn’t go to those lengths, especially being a publicly used suit. I’m sure they clean them well but still nice to have a little protection on our sensitive areas. However when I changed into just the wetsuit vest I put my tankini with boy shorts back on. The vest is easy to pull on over anything it seems. Thanks for the question. 😊
Hi your video was extremely helpful I plan on going there next year I have a question im not a very good swimmer plan to learn before I go but in the lazy river I know u said it get deep in some parts I just wanted to know does the pool noodles feel safe when it gets in the deep parts
Hello Esodora, The noodles are very good, we even used two just to mess around with. However if you are unsure they also have all sizes of life jackets that would stay more secure on you and ease your worries about staying afloat. Thanks for your comment and I hope you have a great time next year.
I used a go pro type camera with a water proof case. They allow your own camera pretty much everywhere in the park other than if you are in the water with the dolphins or the other paid activities.
Yes, they have a cooler salt water pool that you snorkel in. I have seen videos of the rays coming up to people but I never did get to touch any. However they are in the same water as you so anything is possible I guess. I love questions, keep them coming if you have any more. :) Happy planning.
Is it extra to feed the birds? This is probably a silly question, but do you wear a swim suit under the wet suit? And lastly, is it okay to wear water shoes the whole time? We are going for the first time from Oregon in 2 weeks (:
Hello, I don't mind these questions at all. Feeding the birds is free, they just give out different types of food through out the day. The birds really liked the fruit. Yes, I would say most wear a bathing suit under their wet suit. I like the protection the bathing suit provided in sensitive areas ;) I would suggest a swim suit that is on the slinky side (tighter shorts for guys and a bikini for ladies) Any extra fabric will get in the way and bunch up. However we are not ones to wear super revealing suits. So I wore a tankini with bikini bottoms and it was fine underneath. Then I changed into a full short bottom with my tankini and just wore a wet suit vest after I took off the full wet suit. You only have to wear a full wet suit if you feel like a vest is not going to keep you warm enough in the colder pools of water in my opinion. My guy comfortably wore his full board shorts and the wet suit vest the whole time. Water shoes can be worn all day, anywhere in the park. I think we took ours off just when we went to eat and put sandals on just to get a break from wet feet. I wish you a happy and safe trip :)
Ash N absolutely....all the loungers all around the park are free. You only have to pay for the cabanas. There are also a couple hammocks around you can use as well.
i’m going to discovery cove the first time tomorrow and i know it’s weird but i pretty much wear a full face of makeup everywhere. theme parks included. i’m just wondering if we can wear makeup to this park while swimming with the dolphins. i also have acrylics on and i don’t know if we can wear these either. please help!!
Hi Kaili I'm sorry I might have missed your question before you went to the park but in my opinion I don't see any problem with wearing your make up and acrylics. I'm assuming you are wearing waterproof make up so it still looks decent if it gets wet but I don't think they have any rules against it. If you are just talking full face make up you are not getting super wet above the neck while doing the dolphin swim anyway. Not much will come off into the water to harm the animals. I think the park's main concern is that the guest use the supplied animal friendly sun screen because that is the most product used and on all body parts in the water while in the pool. With how many bodies covered in sunscreen are in there everyday it makes sense. Let us know how you make out in case anyone in the future has the same question. Hope you had a great day.
notenufwow makeup and nails was perfectly okay. my makeup came off a little at the lazy river but all my pictures at the dolphin swim came out beautifully and i didn’t end up wearing my acrylics just because i didn’t want the water to dislodge them and an animal somehow eat it and hurt themselves but i did see people with them.
I hear ya on the sugary drinks. Yes, they had self-serve coke machines that dispense water. Now this may have changed since and may not be self serve or they could have changed to newer coke machines but I say they will always have a water option. When we went the coke machine had flat water and sparkling water. Just look for the smaller dispenser button located near the label. Flat was under the lemonade and sparkling under sprite. Also if you rent a cabana they have a small fridge with coke bottled products which would mean Dasani. I personally don’t like that water and preferred the water out of the coke fountain machine because it is filtered water. 😁
The general beach chairs and loungers are decent and plentiful. With the towels being included and pretty much unlimited; you can lay down a few to up the comfort factor. We mostly laid in the double wide hammocks when relaxing outside the water. The seating in the cabanas looked a little nicer but I would hope so for the extra charge. The chairs at the restaurant were not very comfortable but you could take your food anywhere you liked. A nice surprise are the concrete chairs in the water across from one of the snack huts. They were very relaxing to sit in and they let you bring in your drinks and snacks into the water while sitting here.
The chairs in the water are open to sun. The restaurant chairs are under umbrellas or a structure. There are trees and umbrellas through out the park to find shade. :)
Yes, you may bring your own mask and snorkel but no other equipment like fins for example. They offer new masks and snorkels included in the price for ease of people that are are travelling in with limited suitcase space. However if you have a mask and snorkel you like and have room I would bring your own. 😎
i was supposed to go for my birthday that is in march but the park closed because of coronavirus and i have been wanting to go for years and i cried because of this
I'm so sorry this happened, it was out of your control. It doesn't make it any easier to go through, I know. Hopefully once things get back to normal you will make it there and celebrate your Birthday with all the fishies. Stay safe and be well. :)
Thx for video with helpful tips...my head is going to explode with all the information I have. So I can buy a pass for discovery cove and snorkel at reef, swim, river, birds? And if I want to swim with the dolphins, etc I have to purchase that specific pass? Please tell me they have XXX LARGE wet suits...can I do whatever activity I want to or is there a time limit? Only option I can find is to buy a package for discovery cove and 2 other parks for 14 days. Does that include 14 days of discovery cove or just the other 2 parks? Can you touch or kiss dolphins in regular package or can you only get near them with dolphin swim add on? Thx so much for all your tips
Lesley M Hanna thanks for watching. Let me see if I can answer your questions. So you are correct, for the base entrance pass into discovery cove you can snorkel in the reef, swim, river, see the animals and birds (feeding the birds is included too) there is no time limit on any of these things you can do any one you chose at any time. The only extra charge (pass) is to swim the dolphins, or sharks, or the underwater scuba thing with the helmet of air around your head. These have scheduled times as well. You will only be able to see the dolphins from the beach, no touching unless paid for with the upgraded pass. The added 14 days of the other sea world owned parks is just a bonus. You only get one day at discovery cove, the 14 days are for all the other parks listed. I didn’t get a close look at the wetsuit sizes but I’m pretty sure they would have XXX Large. If not in a full suite in a vest at the very least which is all that is required to be allowed in the water. No head exploding 🤯 okay, you can handle it I’m sure. 🤗
Lesley M no sorry I haven’t seen anything in regards to go pro rental, good question though as they are super pricy. I bought a knock off one from amazon for cheap. It works great video wise, the only draw back is the batteries don’t last long. It did come with two batteries that lasted enough for the day though. All depends how much footage you would like to take.
This was SUPER helpful!! Thank you so much!! A little anxious because my kiddo and I are not great swimmers, but yay for floatie things!!

Thank you so much for the tips. Going in Spring of 2020 so this was so helpful. Do you know if you are able to bring your own underwater camera?

Are the swimming shoes provided by the park or we have to bring our own?

You mentioned you got ticket during black Friday , can you tell me is there any time period for the tickets to be used
You do have a few days to book the day you want to go but not many. Last year the email about the sale came out on Nov 16, black Friday was on the 23, and you had to book your day by Nov 26. How far out you could book I'm not sure. Also I think they allow one date change but that could be for full price tickets so you will want to confirm with the park.
Thank you! Is the water deep? I'm not a swimmer😔
Thanks for the tips they were really helpful 😀
Thank you very nicely done !! Question was that your own go pro type video camera or a phone?
It’s an off brand go pro type camera. I wanted to try something cheaper before investing in something more pricey. The camera was great but the batteries barely last 20-30mins so that part was frustrating.
Thank you 🙏🏻 this helped
How much are dolphin photos ? Thank you also for the video
Hello Deana, you can find the photo package prices on their website.
discoverycove.com/orlando/upgrades/photo-package/
Two things to note:
1) You can save a little if you purchase the photo package before your visit.
2) You can not take a camera in with you while with the dolphins (for their safety) but if you have someone to take pictures from the beach that is allowed.
Very helpful.
Did you say if you are able to capitalize on Blue Wednesday discounts that does not include the dolphin swim?
Hello Debbie,
I think there was a discounted upgraded package that included the dolphins, we just didn't want that option. I just got and email from Discovery Cove on Friday, they are celebrating their birthday and offering an admission for $179 (reg. $199) that includes the dolphin swim. The deal looks to be on until July 31 for admissions from Aug-Feb.
Not sure this link will work but worth a shot.

Amazing video so informative good job!
Is it too cold to swim with the dolphins in November?
It is Sea World’s other water park that will let in lots of guests.
great great video. thank u.
Have a great tip :)
You can sign up here seaworld.com/orlando/sign-up-for-email/
Thank you soooooo much
I signed up. Did you get your email for discounts yet giving you a heads up about blue friday
@@westtoeastadventures6045 I haven't seen anything yet. Last year the email came out only 2 days before the sale so there is still hope :) Thank you for the reminder, it helps when our Canadian Thanksgiving has long been over.
I just got the email, it’s 40% off this year.
What drinks are included in the general admission as in cocktails and beers please . How deep does the water get ?
Steph2009 hello, I think their offerings have changed since I was there. I have seen them offering the full drink package to entice people back to the park. The standard was beer (sorry I don’t recall the exact brands) wine, and two frozen pre-mixed cocktails. Then the upgrade was more geared towards bar rail type mixed drinks. The water depth was varied all over. For the most part I would say deep but they have life jackets and floats to use complimentary. I really enjoyed the deeper lazy river areas, it was nice to float more vertical and not hit your legs or feet like other water parks.
Question
Do I just wear a bathing suit there? Also same for my kids and husband?
Either some underwater camera work from behind the glass looked like you get close or it was a trainer in the enclosure with the otters.
notenufwow thank u
Is swimming with the dolphins included in the price
Base admission does not include the dolphins, there is a next step up ticket tier for that. I assume they offer it this way so people who don’t want to swim with the dolphins can still enjoy the rest of the park at a lower price. They just had a Black Friday deal that discounted the dolphin tickets. Keep an eye out as they may do it again on Boxing Day.
Thanks for the tips. Do you have to pay extra for SeaVenture?
Yes it is an extra cost.
notenufwow I thought so!
It also shows if there are only a few spots left etc. because they only have so many spots per day.
notenufwow thank you! That’s so helpful! I’m going in August 😍
Are water shoes provided or you have to bring your own?
S Bill you have to bring your own. They do sell water shoes in their gift shops in the park if needed.
Looks like you had an amazing time! How crowded does it get? Was alcohol included in your ticket price and then you could upgrade? Thanks!
Did you wear your clothes or swimsuit to the park? Also, do we wear our swim suit under the wetsuit? Thank you for your video.
So helpful
Hi your video was extremely helpful I plan on going there next year I have a question im not a very good swimmer plan to learn before I go but in the lazy river I know u said it get deep in some parts I just wanted to know does the pool noodles feel safe when it gets in the deep parts
Hello Esodora, The noodles are very good, we even used two just to mess around with. However if you are unsure they also have all sizes of life jackets that would stay more secure on you and ease your worries about staying afloat.
Thanks for your comment and I hope you have a great time next year.
What kind of camera did you have? Do you know if they allow water cameras?
I used a go pro type camera with a water proof case. They allow your own camera pretty much everywhere in the park other than if you are in the water with the dolphins or the other paid activities.
Were u actually swimming with fish and stingray?? Sorry planning my trip and sooo many questions
Hey neighbor! We are from Seattle. That was a great question
Do they not have the facilities where you can go in with the sting rays now?
They do, the rays are in the Grand Reef with the fish.
Is there an area where you can just lay on the beach if you haven’t paid for a cabana or lounge ? Like if you want to relax and sunbathe ?
Ash N absolutely....all the loungers all around the park are free. You only have to pay for the cabanas. There are also a couple hammocks around you can use as well.
notenufwow awesome thank you! Great video !
It’s my birthday tommorrow and I’m swimming with dolphins I loved your video.Xx
Bluebell Wood what exciting news. Hope you have a wonderful Birthday 🎂🎁.
Thank you- helped alot
i’m going to discovery cove the first time tomorrow and i know it’s weird but i pretty much wear a full face of makeup everywhere. theme parks included. i’m just wondering if we can wear makeup to this park while swimming with the dolphins. i also have acrylics on and i don’t know if we can wear these either. please help!!
@@kailiangelina8968 excellent thank you so much for sharing your experience.
Do they have water? We don’t drink sugary drinks.
@@notenufwow thanks so much. I was worried but forgot about the water from the drink machine.
How is the seating? chairs?
The general beach chairs and loungers are decent and plentiful. With the towels being included and pretty much unlimited; you can lay down a few to up the comfort factor. We mostly laid in the double wide hammocks when relaxing outside the water. The seating in the cabanas looked a little nicer but I would hope so for the extra charge. The chairs at the restaurant were not very comfortable but you could take your food anywhere you liked. A nice surprise are the concrete chairs in the water across from one of the snack huts. They were very relaxing to sit in and they let you bring in your drinks and snacks into the water while sitting here.
notenufwow thank you- how about shady areas and chair? Appreciate the previous response
The chairs in the water are open to sun. The restaurant chairs are under umbrellas or a structure. There are trees and umbrellas through out the park to find shade. :)
Thank you!
Can you take your own masks in?
We’re going April 2022
Yes, you may bring your own mask and snorkel but no other equipment like fins for example. They offer new masks and snorkels included in the price for ease of people that are are travelling in with limited suitcase space. However if you have a mask and snorkel you like and have room I would bring your own. 😎
@@notenufwow thank you. My son wont use a snorkel and mask and his own full face mask so this will help him massively. 😊
i was supposed to go for my birthday that is in march but the park closed because of coronavirus and i have been wanting to go for years and i cried because of this
I'm so sorry this happened, it was out of your control.
Do you know any place that I can rent a gopro? I'm so excited. I keep watching videos and I can't wait to experience it all
Lesley M no sorry I haven’t seen anything in regards to go pro rental, good question though as they are super pricy. I bought a knock off one from amazon for cheap. It works great video wise, the only draw back is the batteries don’t last long. It did come with two batteries that lasted enough for the day though. All depends how much footage you would like to take.
