To measure up to Prince is a huge feat, and she did it.

They were awesome and fun. For her it had to be joyous and bitter sweet. During her high she had to hide from the world she was secretly fighting cancer. How you can have that kind of strength amazes me. They will always be a precious part of the 80s.
This came out during my college years, and it definitely got me up on the dance floor when I went out with my girlfriends. I still love listening to a lot of the 80's music, since it brings back great memories.

Love this. Blast from the past. This song and LOST IN EMOTION were my favorites of theirs. They were produced by Full Force who were also big at the time. These guys, Lisa Marie, Sheila E., Paula Abdul and of course Janet Jackson...all big around this time. This was another one of those songs that played at every dance party we had.

These were my jams back in the day and still enjoy the freestyle music of the 80s such happy times. These songs come on at a party and my friends and i are all out there on the dance floor. I was about to leave an event i was out until Lisa Lisa came on and i joined these people i barely knew on the dance floor. Johnny O, Debbie Deb, Cynthia, Lil Suzy, Stevie B. I remember having a dance recital as a kid & although I didn't dance to this song, I remember someone else dancing to this song.

When the Beatles played at the Cavern Club in England, Cilla was a coat check girl there (real name Priscilla White but the music newspaper - The Mersey Beat - misprinted her name as Cilla Black!) . She was friendly with the Beatles and John Lennon persuaded Brian Epstein, their manager, to let her audition. She eventually was signed to a record deal and became a big star in England but only had a few hits in the USA, "You're My World" being her biggest hit. She had 19 top-40 hits in the UK!
