SHOULD YOU USE HARDWARE EFFECTS OR JUST DO IT ALL IN THE BOX?

Taking the best from both/all worlds is the best overall, by definition … 🙂
I bought SO much gear back in the 90s and 00s, and I only wish I’d bought more (and had been into synths, as well, back then 🤦🏻‍♂️) … 🙃

In the box? that was a new way to express a software solution !

    2 probs with out-the-box.
1 You need more outs and ins on your interface. This is getting more affordable tho
2 you need to print tracks which use them as you go unless you buy ALOT;-)
Having said that im building a real stereo spring reverb;-)

A guitarist likes the nostalgia of pedals Just like some keyboard players would die for a CS80
    Good one though Best wishes

I don’t think My interface has the capability to loop in hardware. It’s not a cheap interface either, it has built-in hardware multi-effects and mic modeling.
I wouldn’t be opposed to picking up the lexicon module he likes (I actually looked up some for sale). I agree that just the circuits would likely color the sound beyond the effect. I’m not really sure how I would use it. I have some lexicon effects in box already.
