This short video was shot this year 2008 in April. The manta rays were filmed with just snorkel gear. The Brit sailing boat takes you around the atoll, and if you ask the captain, he will always try to find the manta for you. Pro dive run the the dive operation and are very helpful. We have been out to Kuredu 8 times, and can can highly recommend the island.
Hi. Yes we used a HID video lamp for some of the footage where the light was poor. The rest was filmed using a clour correction filter. Besr wishes John.
Your right about it being over built. Shame. We liked it when it felt like a Island not a hotel. Check Prodive's web site to see if Niki is there stil.
MrHaroldFM you don't need light there. i've been there myself, and the water is so clear that you can take photos and see anything without any light. the water there isn't really deep, lets say about 9-12 meters. and its really beautiful down there. sorry for my bad english :( but i can really recommend the kuredo resort.
John Coward yes, but if you go down there, lets say to the ship wreck, you don't really see much fishes or anything. with luck you can see some mantas or tunas passing by, but the main part is aubout 12meters, but its amazing to dive under the wreck too :)

This video was shot on the house reef of Kuredu. Bottom depth is about 18 metres.
