Fun fact, snippet colored version of this part (1:13) was available on the internet
They now found the actual station id albeit with text
The difference: The 3 boats were actually floating houses, and there was no going down the beams after they finish go up, & also the 3d part will be early after the beams go up to the sky, so you got 68 percent complete.
Plus: the stations would emit these beams as particles, and the background at the end would be a star field.
Almost excellent work by such standards. I do wish I can help you out with the animation and its respective timing according to my childhood memory If possible. I must admire you for your efforts.
Nice! I am working on the ABS CBN SID now, I cannot remember what was the color of the whole Philippines map before ABS CBN LOGO. It is also from circa 1988-1989. :)
Cool and nice remake of this GMA SID from 1988. Your remake is almost being similar to the actual (on the left) in terms of effects and edit, though, so its getting more creative to me.

0:26 The lines actually didn't extend from the towers, instead it's outline of the other tower (0:31) actually just fade in before transitioning to the same tower above the PH map

Sa bundok is Google Earth set ko yung time before eruption and hinanap ko yung tamang angle and afternoon-twilight yung oras. The rest of the photo is manipulated in Photoshop then animated sa after effects.
The 3d is made from Cinema 4d (industry standard siya sa paggawa ng motion graphics) pero hindi ko nirender bale viewport lang siya para mapreserve yung look ng mga lumang CGI, then composite sa after effects.
Yung post production naman gamit ko davinci resolve.
Ah sige, pero better kung May VHS effects.

i think the beams from the 3 towers should sync with the glissando of the piano. and only the tower wipes down (not the background), the background fades afterward (not wipe) and while it is almost halfway through the background transition, the map of the philippines is slowly revealed. it stops for a while, then it spins to reveal the GMA logo.
