Hello everyone! I’m not very familiar with Laotian culture, and have a question about this dance and what it means. Is it suitable for a couple to perform it, or is it more like a show kind of dance, like French Ballet?
Most if not all traditional Lao dances are ensembles or group dances. There are no solo dances or just couple dances. But there may be more than 1 couple dance

Several types are in there. All along Laos we different regions each which their own way of singing and dancing. The first music is Salavan beat from the South, than Phu Thai's not far from that area, and at the end the 3-rd one, Lam Pheun from Isan.
