Your wrapping is very satisfying to watch. Watching you separate the vinyl into smaller pieces and wrap the caliper section by section makes my brain happy. Great job!
@@newtouchauto Still can lol, but this is the best, correct an cleanest way to wrap using this material. It kinks so much with any curve, and i wrapped mines off the car, definitely wrapping like this when i redo. They've been on for 2 an a half years an haven't degraded at all, good stuff
That wrap is specifically for high heat? How long does it last? Is it easy to remove? I loved your video. Excellent production value. Great explanations. Clear visuals.
Thank you for the compliment and watching the video, the wrap can last 3-4 years. I recommend removing it at the 4 year mark so that it removes correctly, removing is not hard at all though. When using a heat gun it allows the wrap to release easier than without one.
My first caliper wrap I had issues down the line but it was an installer error. I over stretched the wrap in some areas and it ended up pulling back, it didn’t come off though. Once I realized and understood vinyl wrapping and what works best for me as an installer it became less stressful to complete any job. The material is designed for an easy removal without any issues occurring, just don’t wait 8-10 years expecting it to come off in one piece. Always use heat whenever you’re peeling wraps.
@@newtouchauto Thanks for your reply. I have a new BMW M3, Tanzanite Blue that came with black calipers and I would like to change them to orange. I have the Kyalami orange interior and think orange calipers would look good with the exterior color and also match the interior. Just debating on painting vs a wrap.
You’re welcome, well it comes down to if you’re wanting to get stylish with the calipers or keep it simple. Both installs have their pros and cons, vinyl is less prep and doesn’t require wrapping the entire caliper, painting them requires more prep but you get the full coverage and less worry about tedious work.
I’ve wrapped calipers with normal vinyl wrap as well and it held up well, the difference between the two would be the guaranteed quality. The heat resistance film will always be best because it’s designed for better longevity and of course durability.
I’m not sure on the question but it’s not effective to the skin or smell. It sticks to most metal and plastic surfaces when properly cleaned. Let me know if my answer didn’t help, if so can you be more specific on the question?

With caliper wraps you have performed, how long have they lasted, or have you had any issues with them. Can it be removed without any problem?

Thanks for watching the video.
Is it radium
