I struggle with French. It's kind've disgraceful that part of my heritage is French, I live in Canada, but I'm not bilingual. I probably would've been bilingual if my grandfather hadn't banned speaking French in my mother's family. I think he had PTSD after returning home from WWII....Its such a struggle to learn French, when everyone else around you speaks English.

Cuisiner's auxilliary verb is not être it is avoir. French tends to use "have" rather than "be" for sentences typically in english would the other way around.
