I feel like the acting isn't too bad, the actors are doing well with the material they're given. In my opinion, the problem is that the script is a shot-for-shot word-for-word remake attempt of the US version, and a lot of the jokes are lost in translation. They try to copy a few of the jokes by translating them, but it just doesn't come across the same way and it falls flat to the viewer. They could've tried making new episodes or jokes that would do well in Hindi, and say it was INSPIRED by the US version, but if it's just an exact remake it doesn't land.
i agree! they made the show a mix of the US version and a mix of the Indian culture and that's what messes it up for them cause it sets them up for comparisons. They should have made the show for an Indian audience just like The Office US did for theirs and the UK did. If anything the season 1 of the US office taught us that we shouldn't copy the UK version for a US audience, and they fixed that in season2, while the Indian version is making that same mistake.

Yes! I mean honestly this show isn't even worth watching....Good script, cast choosing, acting and everything really sucks! It's cringe. Compare to The Office US this show is nothing. There's no good reason to watch the "The Office Indian" instead of watching the US. The Office US has always been the one and only best version and the greatest one and I really like it alot and so I miss that show too...much. it's so relaxing to watch the show again and it feels really awesome, still it amazes me every time when I see each new episode. Not gonna lie that show is One of My Favorite and Best shows of all time I've ever had in my life! I just love that masterpiece...❤️❤️❤️

They still have vegan friendly gelatin substitutes made from algae though. It's in a lot of Indian candy and doesn't taste any different IMO. Probably healthier too.

So, is Jell-O just not as prevalent in India? I would assume so, since commonly the collagen to make it comes from cows. But, it's inherently funnier for it to be encased in jello. Because part of the joke is how much effort Jim had to go to in order to pull off the prank. If it's just frozen in water then Dwight only has to wait for it to Thaw. If it's in Jell-O, then he has to eat it out.
