HI Asmaa! These are some great and easy tutorials you are keeping a record of on the web. Many Thanks!!. I have a query about scalar transport - that instead of using the last timeStep boundary condition, can we someway run it over an already generated time-evolving velocity field. Because ofc we never know if the endTime is actually the steady state?

Thanks! Yes of course! You can use the time step of your interest.

Excellent material. I understand that this procedure is just for a system where the velocity field is constant. What if this velocity field changes over time? It would be a bit complicated to copy the velocity field each time. Do you have any suggestions for that situation?

Hi Asma, with a friend we are doing a case similar to the one you explain in the tutorial, and in our case we use a porous medium that we include with topoSet and when we start the simulation in scalarTransport we get a warning which indicates that it does not recognize the pore, do you know how I could solve this problem, I would really appreciate it too much and by the way one of the best openFoam tutorials I've seen.

is this transport of scalar only for the initial velocity U you set in the 0 folder? This is not clearly explained. In addition, how to combine LES velocity at each time step to the scalar transport and make it coupled? could this be discussed?

How to set the specific gas in the setFields?and import gas physical properties

Thank you! Can I ask one question? whey you add two T file(T.org and T). What is the aim of this? If I only use T, could this be simulated?

    • @CFDAsmaaHadane

Yes your simulation will be fine. It is just a backup file, in case I want to rerun the setFields, I still have my original file of T called T.org.

One question though, If we want to add more than one contaminant, what we should modify?

If you assume that the second contaminant has the same diffusion coefficient you just need to add a second region in the file setFieldsDict to define it for injection.

@@HolzmannCFD Great! One idea is to improve your network on social media. For example, I don't think you are a member of OpenFOAM group in Linkedin, because I have never seen your post there, but always receive a notification when Asmaa posts a video.

@Tobi Your tutorials are very much informative :) Maybe it's just a stupid youtube algorithm.
