Harinie Jeevitha Solo - Pallava Festival 2021 - Sridevi Nrithyalaya - Bharathanatyam Dance

- Excerpts from Pallava Festival -
The invocatory piece is a Kauthvam choreographed by Harinie, with verses taken from the first chapter of Natya Sastra, which speaks of the origin and purpose of Natya.
The evergreen Charukeshi Varnam of Lalgudi Sri G. Jayaraman is the next piece, wherein the heroine questions Krishna if it is fair on His part to be indifferent to her. She recalls an incident from her childhood days when she was playing along with Krishna and He garlanded her and claimed her to be His wife.
The verse preceding the Varnam has been penned by the vocalist, Sri Abishek Chandrasekhar.
The following song is a Javali which features a Nayika who is angry and sarcastic with her Lord for not keeping his promises. This Javali is set in Poorvikalyani Ragam and Adi Talam.
The concluding item is Shudda Nrittam which is a dialogue between the Mridangam and the dancer's anklets. This is an innovation of Mahaguru Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer. This particular Shudda Nrittam has been composed by Dr. Guru Bharadwaaj.

I really wanted to learn from watching this TH-camr's videos for 2 years. It is a pity that there is no place where ordinary people can learn bharatanatyam dance in Korea. Thank you for always uploading great videos.
This was an astonishingly beautiful performance by Harinie and masterfully choreographed by her. @@omnamonarayanaya7648 Both you and Sri Balasubramaniam have made me rather embarrassed at my own poverty of subliminity for while you are thinking of Devi Shivakaami Amman, I was thinking of the dancer Shivakaami born of Kalki’s imagination in his novel “Shivakaamiyin Sabatham.” That is why I used the word “if”. There is no “if” with Amman Shivakaami. She IS the Cause and the Beauty, Goodness, and Truth of this Creation. And yes, Harini seems to have touched the edge of divinity as a dancer.
@@chandraravikumarNo need to feel embarrassed. SDN choreography , orchestra, dancers and especially Harini imbue a sense of peace and calm that one encounters in temples. That automatically leads us to think of countless nāmās of Devi, Paramāthma etc. As much as I love Kalki's writing (பொன்னியின் செல்வன், சிவகாமியின் சபதம் etc), his writing shone bright in Bhaktha Meera's dialogue and காற்றினிலே வரும் கீதம் and other songs from Meera

A "killer" performance by SDN top dancer. But not only that...
SDN videos are usually stage performances, recorded by camera(s), with a view as live audience experiences it. With many disturbing items of stage, such as billboards, heavily lighted cutrains, people walking in front of camera and so on.
This video is different. All black background, so nothing is disturbing the show. Just dancer, musicians and Nataraja. This is setup, how videos for youtube and TV should be recorded. It is a huge difference !!! - Video recorded for remote viewers is something different than video of stage, as seen by audience in the venue.
Perhaps you should unleash your camera team to elaborate on these ideas. Special performance, just for recording video, no audience. Camera moving around the stage - moving between performers, getting closeups of dancers faces... Kind of videospot format. Just let them be creative...
Another thing is ankle bells (ganghroos, or however you call them in Tamil). On most of your videos you can not hear them, or just faintly. That's another difference with live performance, where you can hear them clearly and loudly. In my oppinion, ankle bells should be heard loud enough in your videos. Perhaps a special directed microphone for recording their sound.
This is painfully obvious in this video, where shuddh nritta can only be viewed, but (almost) not heard. This is dialogue between mridangam and dancer, but only one of them is heard...
I am a huge admirer of your dance school (for now only through videos). Please take this text just as wellwishers ideas to improve your videos and not as a critique.
